Classic Ghost Stories Podcast - Tony Walker

Күн бұрын

Digging into the archive to pull out nearly 9 hours of ghost and supernatural stories tailored to help you sleep. These aren't specifically sleep stories, or ASMR stories, but there are NO ADS between the stories. (There are intro ads from KZbin at the very start as normal)
There is NO MUSIC at all. No other sounds than the voice.
There is a BLACK SCREEN because people tell me that's useful
There is no conversation, no outro, no finish music, it just stops into silence just before 9 hours.
I hope it helps you sleep.

Oh this is great thank you Tony. Early Christmas present. Hope you and the family are doing well. Make sure you have everything you need to ward off cold and flu Hot toddy fixings Great tea Some eucalyptus mint etc for hot baths. And whatever is your favorite cold and flu therapy. I love the historical herbal teas etc myself. Stick to them unless I need the big gun prescriptions for infections that laugh at herbs "not this time nurse Nightingale, thyme and garlic ain't going to do it" Luckily I haven't needed extra help in years. Stay warm and cozy Tony have a great Christmas season.

Oh my goodness. One of the most horrifying stories on Night Gallery that I would avoid when the reruns started for the series was the one about the earwig. When you got to the part in Boomerang about the earwig, I had to stop the story for a moment, go outside and have a cig to settle myself. I then searched for the title and author, yep, they used the story in the series. I listened, cringing. I will be creeped out for days. laughing...

Thank you Tony. These holidays are difficult for me, and I'm certain I'm not the only one, which is even more sad. As the Beatles once said "All the lonely people" etc. Some of us can feel the most lonely when having a partner with a grown kids who are having children of their own. I don't feel I'm ever going to be an acceptable partner for her my mother-in-law's precious son (obviously her favorite.) But wheras in past relationships I was wecomed and loved by family members, Not in this one, at least by the mother, a miserable actually an extremely disagreeable human. I will NEVER be whom she wishes. A strong Italian who was left a widow long ago and began attempting to control her children, their lives, and making undeserved assumptions about many of us. I love my partner and after all these years, it seems she is still attempting to control her him, and luckily he, being intelligent and understanding her manipulative ways, and has a way of not allowing her to come between us. But she IS his mother and I respect that. My mother adored him, but then she was a beautiful lady, inside and out. While it's impossible to find even one positive attribute in this woman. Even if she buys a gift for a wife or gf, it most be opened when she is there, to assess your reaction. If there isn't enough praise regarding the gift, you didn't like it and is labled ungrateful. So she'd rather see excessive praise over each gift, in front of her. And God help anyone new that hadn't been apprised of the theatrical praises necessary to appease her. Otherwise you will never be an acceptable member of the family. Even though David and I have lived together for decades, I am not, nor can I ever do ANYTHING to gain her acceptance. I don't care about how she deliberately attempts to hurt me with her downright evil behavior. And then gives me wonderful gifts for birthdays and holidays, the truth is always revealed. She lives off the compliments, beaming as if she just cured cancer, instead of accomplishmenting in purchasing a gift I usually DO appreciate. But she opens a gift from me as if she expects the package to contain a saved bowel movement and gift wrapped it in lovely paper. After many years she hasn't yet appoved in her son and I being as happy as can be expected. And living nearby, a pop-in is always a possibility, meaning she catches me in clothing meant for wearing only to clean house. But in her eyes, those are my only clothes and I don't bother to "clean up" when she does the pop-in, which is every visit. I used to try and win her over. But I finally understand it's a game for her, one I can never win. So I take solace in knowing our lives are our "wins" and though it's no fair game, I'm still here which I believe believe she never expected nor made me an official member of HER family. Sorry for the rant. Hope all is well with the family and pups. Keep posting about them for all us many dog lovers. Cheers my friend, V

I admire your ability to do accents greatly! They might not be perfect - my ear isn't good enough to find fault with them anyway. But it's a pity that your own accent isn't getting equal time (or maybe it just seems that way because of which ones I've listened to last). Maybe you should make a playlist of stories narrated in your own accent...

I’m quite content to listen to narrations without an accent regardless of where the story is set. One of the more aggravating accents to hear mimicked is the Scottish accent. Sorry Tony, I can’t listen to these.

I take your point. Me old dad would be turning in his grave to hear me butcher his accent. But all stories have an accent. For example, an MR James story read by someone in a Scouse or Geordie or Brummie accent wouldn't work, I don't think

Tony, Toni, Tone - big fan and merry Christmas; however, I have to tax you a bit for "Thrawn Janet." Too much, my man. I appreciate your commitment to accents, but it's just too much on that story. It was a chore to get through that story, and I'm pretty good at understanding most accents. For instance, I know in the story when you say "deal" you're really saying "devil," but you are saying "deal," for Pete's sake.
