This video made me realize something: When I had kids I thought "Yay, I can play wargames with them!", 2 kids and 4 years later its "I could afford the wargames if I didn't have kids".

totally agree on Horse and Muskets, I bought all the originals and recently purchased all the upgrades

20th Airforce, you have to try! Agree with you on The Lost Valley - an accountant not a General, perfect description.

I probably will. I have always been a big fan of Curtis Lemay. His innovations in air power strategy and tactics saved a lot of American boys.

If the monster was made with Hans Delbruck's brain, he would have been a military historian.

True. IIRC the jar with delbrucks brain was labeled scientist and saint.

Good solid list with a lot of intetesting game. Need to think about Centrifugal offensive, as I also battle predominantly in the Pacific😁

It is an excellent game for the first six months of the war. I'll be getting back on the table in early 2022 with all the 80th anniversary Pacific carrier battles coming up.

I liked 8th Air Force. There were a few rules that were no immediately clear, but the designer clarified them on BGG - and they really not that bad. 20th AF seems like a less interesting situation. I really like Orange Swan too, as a elegant, relatively quick playing strategic PTO game.

Well, I have five of the games on this list including your number one in my small game collection. I have Tarawa 43 on order. I guess that is why I frequently watch your channel. Keep up the good work. Look forward to your Horse and Musket playthoughs.

'Dien Bien Phu, The Final Gamble'. By Legion Games.

I really loved Lost Valley...but I am really super interested in Dien Bien Phu. I had no issues with the game at all...it was precedure heavy, but I expected that going in. My favorite game of all time is Legions "Dien Bien Phu"...but it takes a week to play the damn thing solo...Lost valley was nice in that I could get my "DBP Fix" in a couple of hours.

Looking forward to see Frederick II stuff. I also just played some Horse and Musket scenarios of the 7YW and hope to get Great crisis on the table soon.

Is Table Battles related to Pub Battles?
@timkorchnoi91583 жыл бұрын
No. Very different games. Pub battles reminds me of the original Avalon Hill Gettysburg game.

I'm not surprised by Tank Duel making your disappointments list - from what I've heard it's a very divisive game, with players either loving or hating it...

57:00 in HtL Frederick's War the CAP was +1D6/2, so +1,2 or 3, base+3 being max. In Horse and Musket it's almost the same, but only a 1 gets you +1CAP, 2-4 gets you +2CAP, 6 gets you 3CAP. A problem that HtL had, was that a unit in the woods or town couldn't be attacked by Cavalry. I like both game, but i find Volume 3 almlst too brutal with sim. fire back and many dice.

Actually you are correct. I must have been thinking of something else 🙄
