Fantastic demo! Just installed a pair of vhii in my guitar, but looking for more. That aftermath sounds pretty great!

Thank you very much mate, really appreciate it! Nice one, if you're looking for more output the Aftermath is a great choice indeed 🍻

Great Demo. Can´t decide between them. Both sounds good to me. For myself I have the Ragnarok and are very satisfied with them.

Thank you mate, really appreciate it! Nice one, really enjoyed how the Ragnarok sounds on all demos I've heard so far. 🍻

Are you endorsed by Bareknuckle? If not - they should endorse you. You're making the top notch comparisons here on youtube. Excellent Work man!

Thank you so much mate, very cool of you, really appreciate it! Not endorsed unfortunately, just a big fan of their pickups 🍻

Well done, man! Both of these have a distinct "bite." Hard for me me to pick a favorite. The Aftermath has a bit more of a 'dirty' edge to its tonality, yet the VHII has got this classy scooped vibe going on that I can admire also.

Thank you very much mate, appreciate it! For sure, they're both great in their own right, at the moment I'm feeling very partial to the VHII, very versatile pickup, but the aftermath is undeniably great for heavier styles 🍻

Hey! I have currently a Seymout Duncan JB and I really (really) enjoyed the tone of the VHII. Would you recommend it to someone looking for a more dynamic but with enough output to play some heavy sounds and drop tuning? I guess your video already shows that it's possible but you for sure know better. Thank you for the awesome video!

Hi mate, thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)! I think that the VHII fits exactly what you're describing. In general it's one of my fav Bare Knuckle Pickups, and it sure can handle heavier styles and drop tuning easily... what I like about it the most is how "stringy" it sounds which really brings a lot of clarity to lower tunings.

Thank you 🙏! That’s what I wanted to hear! I love guitars that have this “stringy” texture you mentioned as just wasn’t sure if it would be enough output to handle heavy styles as well. Much appreciated brother! 🤝

The VHIIs just seem to have a little more brightness and presence in the high end, the aftermath's definitely are outputting more low end, which can work in a lot of contexts but also can be perceived as muddy. Love my aftermath's for metal but the VHIIs do seem a bit more versatile.

Indeed, I found the VHII bridge pickup to be very versatile as well and quite liked the added brightness and how "stringy" it sounds. I was somewhat unsure about the VHII when I first got it, but it quickly became one of my favs for sure. Cheers for checking the video out 🤘

That vhii sounds pretty good. Bet it would sound good through my herbert.

Ha, I'm sure it would, such a great pickup, I feel it's really underrated in the BKP lineup.

Would love to have heard the VHII compared with the Wolfgang. Again, these are so similar. I’ve got two sounds in my head. My LP with a Custombucker or 57+ in the bridge, and a Tone Zone in my strat. I want a way to get that bit, articulation, and mid-focused tone from my LP into my strat (as close as possible anyway).

Thank you mate, that'd be a good comparison for sure, might have a go at that soon.🤘

@@gabriel_guitar You'd be doing a HUGE service. The BKP all seem a bit scooped to me, kinda like Ibanez stock pups. The DiMarzios push those mids, yet still keep things clear when distorted. I'd like to find the "boutique" version of that, if one is made. I've got the single spaced version of the Tone Zone in my tele, and it sounds perfect. I was hoping BKP also mades something similar to that as well. Not real high-out put, but in the 9K-10K range, and remains very clear with great mids. Anyway...yes, would be a GREAT comparison.

Love your vids! How does the mule compare to the vhii?
@gabriel_guitar Жыл бұрын
Thank you mate, very cool of you! Not entirely sure as I’m yet to do a comparison between the 2, but from memory I’d say the mule felt like it had a bit less output and it was slightly more scooped, but that’d be an interesting video for sure 🍻
