Happens all the time with street performers, the majority of people don't stop. Many of these people are going in and out of shops which have music playing inside so to them it's probably just one of many songs that have been "playing in the background"

Just now reading my journals that I started writing over 20 years ago. On September 12, 1998 I wrote "I just saw this 10 year old girl named Sammie Jay sing at Tootsies (in Nashville). She is 100% gonna be a star. WOW was she something singing Stand By Your Man up there". This girl is the whole package (forgive me if it sounds as I'm referring to her as a product, I'm not) but first and foremost she has a wonderful strong voice she's young and naturaly beautful. My suggestion and I've been doing this for years is to get to Nashville Tennessee. It's not just country music there, it's every type of music you can imagine and she will definitely turn some heads. It's a hard business to break into, most of the time you have to know someone, or have a ton of money behind you to buy your way onto the radio (look at the music scene today and you see what I mean) but she for surely has the tools to make it on her talent. Good luck young lady.
