Very helpful and a great additional way of presenting the information in the book. I'm looking forward to starting the Barefoot Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Personal Coaching (class 47) in 10 days time. Happy New Year Kim!!

Thanks KimI just wanted to share that my journey was one you described, firstly the not knowing, then more and more coaching in as many different situations as possible. All the time asking myself those reflective questions to gauge my thoughts and feelings. Thinking hard about my personal values and beliefs and then considering my own experiences in both work and outside. Through my engagement in mixed sports and then in my career as a teacher I sought leadership positions at every possible opportunity, it was often tough. My world at leadership level used to be very male dominated so I learnt how to work in a man's world and be noticed for my positive contribution, not my actual presence! My niche developed into leadership coaching, focusing mainly in the education sector with both men and women, it continues to evolve into businesses too. As more women become leaders I am finding myself drawn to them and interestingly have discovered that many are challenged by leading and managing men. I have been extremely fortunate to have worked, lived with and have as close friends some of the most amazing men ever, which has helped me understand and study our different behaviours, drivers and preferences. Coming from a place of some experience is helpful as you have said yourself Kim. Thank you for providing the opportunity through this talk to reflect upon my own continuing journey and to re connect with something that is close to my heart.

Great advice Kim. I am a Career Coach as that's where my expertise and knowledge comes from I get great please from Coaching clients to find a role or career they really love rather than just another job. However, I am also passionate about helping people to navigate their way around or through toxic relationships in work and in life so this is another niche area I am exploring more. I tend to find it is often the reason some people want to change careers too.
