Secondly, the gloves used in boxing are more to protect the hands than the body, in fact gloves hands cause more brain damage than bare hands, bare hands cause more superficial damage like cuts. Deaths become more prominent in boxing AFTER the introduction of gloves. Most bare knuckle boxing matches would consist of blows to the body as the forehead is very hard. Gloves allowed people to target the head more often and more aggressively... a lot of this can be taken with a pinch of salt cos training techniques, punching techniques and change in diet (not just when training but from birth) mean fighters are not only physically stronger but they are technically superior as well. Maybe that is why these practically head hunted eachother for the entire fight or possibly because a round wouldn't end til there was a knock down and im not sure if they even had a count back then but fights could last dozens of rounds. TL:DR; i forgot my point. Fight gave ME brain damage!

Neither of the men were cut to where it inhibited their sight or their breathing. Therefore it no Doc would stop it. I’ve never seen any fight stopped because of too much blood loss but they are usually stopped because blood is in the eye or the boxer can’t breathe (broken nose or too much blood in the mouth -rarely).

Paulie will have the.... speed... combinations....foot work... skill...and experience... malignaggi Will Control the distance and pepper artem with Jabs and combination punches he will get in and get out. Malignaggi might not hit hard but after he lands 100s of punches his punches are going to feel a lot harder. I think he stops artem late in the fight.

Only issues are Paulie's had problems in the past with his knuckles breaking, even with boxing gloves, and also the fact that the clinch won't be broken which will suit Artem as he's bound to be more proficient in the clinch being an mma fighter. Add to that inactivity and age and there is a lot going against Paulie but I do hope he wins
