I'm shamed to say that I don't speak or read french but love books!! I 'm in heaven in a bookshop, just love the feel of turning over the pages as I read the book.Will be interested to see what price the book sells for.Thanks for the videos David.

Reading modern French might not help that much. Reading mid-17th century French is about like Shakespearian English if you're not used to it. Most people aren't.

Excellent and thank you. Quite a lot of the older editions (17 - 18th rare?) that are published in France can be bought at a reasonable price, but if published in English, then that price demands a premium.

The book itself is interesting, but even more...where has it been and what has it seen? One must wonder how it ended up in Britain. Vide Grenier probably. I'd figure it at 100-150GBP or USD, depending on who's looking. It might well end up near one of the locations described in the book.
