Bargaining in Asia is so easy sometimes but some are just so ignorant. This is also my parents when we go to another asian country. Tip: always check the other store if they sell the same thing but for a way cheaper price.

the weirdest thing that happened at my aunt's grocery store (specialized in Thai, Vietnamese, and other E/SE Asian goods) is that one particular ethnicity always ask for a discount, that's the last place (store) in the US that i never thought of seeing customer bargaining I once cashier and a lady refuse to pay 10 cents. let's say the subtotal was $30.80, she was at first going to give me $31 in notes, I clearly see more banknotes in her purse, but decided to count her coins and only added up to 70 cents and bargaining me to discount 10 cents. because there are other customers behind her, she signed the receipt and said she'll come back and pay the 10 cents and i was like (in my mind) 'bitch you'll never come back but you're too cheap so I'll give you the 10 cent discount," so i ended up voiding the 10 cents from her receipt when she left the store
