I've driven past this bridge probably a thousand times and had no idea it did this! And I read that it used to be a double-decker!

My dad was the drawtender on that bridge in the 60's. I love it.

Wow wasn't aware it still functioned, at least as of 2011. Boat traffic is almost non-existent in kc.
