I am conflicted about this. That Barkha has gone to Baramullah, a place i love, and given voice to many good people is wonderful. On the other hand, it brings to mind her dark role in reporting on Kashmir, when she essentially became the mouthpiece of terrorists and islamists. Strange logic has escaped a seasoned journalist the higher voter turnout in Baramulla is because of a far, far improved law and order and that has happened solely due to strong leadership in New Delhi who after abrogation of Article 370 ensured cross border terrorism from Pakistan could be controlled significantly which led to no stone pelting incidents. Credit should go where it is due. And the Supreme Court of India by upholding the revocation of Article 370 & 35A by the Narendra Modi government clearly indicated that the introduction of Article 370 and 35A by Jawarharlal Nehru cabinet was constitutionally WRONG and because of this wrongful act by India's first Prime Minister generations of Kashmiris particularly Kashmiri Hindus suffered immense violence and trauma for 72 years till 2019.

I was posted in Kashmir studied her and her people. India is a very diverse land and technically Kashmir Valley is the Central Asian Aryan region of India. Classical Central Asia has Aryans, Turks and Mongols in different parts of this region. Kashmiri people are Aryans like Iranians, Tajik, Armenians, etc. In fact most of India is Aryan and all races loved by mother India equally which live in her bosom. There is sub-variety among Aryans and Kashmir is more Central Asian Aryan. The Samovar also belongs to classical Central Asia and Russia.

Barkha, not a single person talked about the return of Kashmiri Pandits. They want their students going across India to be treated well. But KPs are not important to them. Everyone was more selfish about their needs, which is fair enough. Also no one mentioned anything about the sacrifices of the security forces. They also said that all the power produced by them must be given to them first. Whatever remains extra must be taken by other states. They ignore that people like me in Chennai have paid taxes to their welfare even when the contribution of J&K to our exchequer was negligible. This is a left wing channel. It’s ok, people can host anything as long as it’s not harmful to others. Kashmir is a difficult place. Burkha should interview POK residents give us honest picture. However, Kashmir population is high demanding, wanting to have money from every govt. They want life style of Europe without doing any work or little work. I never heard of 11 kinds of bread and several kinds of teas and kava. We had known only one kind of tea that too when I was in 12th standards. Tell me burkha how many kinds of bread and tea is available to the rest of india. That translates into life style of upper end ZAMIDAR during mogul time without much intellectual depth. In other words, DAMAD ie son in law of rest of india. Rest of india will work fir the well being of kashmiri.
