@@harrylthompson Hello Harry. With the Covid-19, USA borders are closed for US (europeans people), karel sabbe is from Belgium so if he is already in USA, it can be OK but if he is in europe, he can't travel for the barkley. The situation getting worse everyday and i don't think it will be ok in few weeks, too many people died here, it's too dangerous. I hope the race will be fun for the barkley runners.

Hey Jam, firstly I love ya work, very inspirational channel 👏 Gary and yourself are elite athletes in your sport and you can both run the distance and the terrain of the Barkley quite easily, your past videos have shown this. For the Barkley it seems to be the conditions combined with sleep deprivation that effects runners decision making abilities and the inability to make good decisions whilst under severe distress which ends their Barkley dreams. My question is, have you ever planned Barkley training that exposes you to the worst conditions whilst suffering severe sleep deprivation? These practice boot camps seem to easy for the Barkley challenge. Is there any way to totally exhaust yourself before you kickoff on your training loops (Marathon road run to the gate??? Stay up for 24hrs and then run??) and try and work through a bout of severe sleep deprivation and train your brain to make the right choices when totally drained, wether that be navigation choices or determination to continue. I am really interested in your answer partly for the science aspect, partly for the human desire to succeed. Of course I have no real experience compared to what you legends have achieved, it is just an observation from my side of the computer screen. Once again love the channel, massively inspirational, keep up the good work. Ben 🇦🇺
