Guys I understand 3500 is a good price for the car, I’m also not big on pricing these cars the man was asking 3500 so I paid him 3500, I don’t think anyone on here would’ve done any different, I do plan on giving the man more money now that i know it runs and drives!!! Please do not judge me for paying someone exactly what they was asking for it

you didn't do anything wrong. Paying what someone is asking is better than what most people would do. I don't know of anybody that would look at a car and say oh your not asking enough here is 10,000 more.... come on people give me a break.

@William Money no that car will not be worth 20k anytime soon those body styles are ugly and you can't hardly give them away and I don't see that changing anytime soon lol but in all honesty the drivetrain is worth what he give for it and I'd say on a good day finding the right buyer it might sell for 7 thousand maybe you have to remember this isn't the general lee body style and nobody like these years

Awesome. In 1972 I ordered a a dodge charger from dodge city on. W colfax avenue in Lakewood colo. I ordered a 340 magnum with a 4 barrel carb, with slapstick auto and the rally package. The headlights didn't close on that model. It had a black bubble hood and rally tail lights which had louvers over the tail lights. Gunmetal metallic with black vinyl top and black interior. It was an awesome car. The msrp was 4700 and I talked them down to 4300. Also it had a cassette player which was mounted at the front of the console.

I noticed that the vacuum advance on your distributor does not have any vacuum hose going to it. Maybe that is what you’re vacuum leak is. I bet it would run better with the vacuum advance hooked up to the distributor and working properly and it would really sound healthy. Congratulations on your find. Nice car!!!

That is sounding real good. wow. 3500 dollars you did well. Needs some new battery cable clamps and a cleaning and hook up the vacuum advance for goodness sake. It goes from the distributor to the base of the carburetor. or on the intake manifold somewhere dont matter as long as it is below the butterflys.

That’s worth $3500 all day long , I would’ve bought it immediately myself, it’s definitely a good deal, and even if you just wanted to flip it you’d probably get close to double the way it sits ! Ya that was a no brainer purchase for sure especially off a old timer as you know they usually have things well worth buying and they usually want a arm and a leg also as they usually know how much and rare most things are !! 👊👍✌️

My brother had that same model Charger back in 1988. His was a yellow Charger SE with the 400 motor, and a black vinyl interior. 3500 bucks is a steal, poor old guy who owned it probably cut loose of a bunch of stuff after losing his wife who I'm betting he was with her for decades. I've seen that with a family member of mine whose wife passed, things just didn't matter much anymore. It probably shook him pretty bad and he's in a depression, a funk that's hard to shake. At least he sent the car to a good home.
