Nice to see a film of someone bringing a forgotten tef back to life I done the same with mine after it was sat in a play area with concrete in its wheels just a heads up on the pistons and cylinders they are only pushed in you can knock the cylinders up from underneath with the pistons in and then cut the liners off and just replace them all the parts are available that's what I done with mine

Good video. Going to be interesting come rebuild when Gav is going to want to tidy the ports, maybe add some compression and possibly some reheat feature.

My guess on the clear liquid coming out of the sump would be 30 years' worth of condensation build up, and it was kept below the oil as it's more dense. With an alloy sump (if that's what it has?) there wouldn't be any steel to rust 😊 After 9 years of k-series engined MG ownership in my past I'm only too aware of seeing water come out before the oil 🤣 Looks a great potential series 🙂👍

I restored a TE20 petrol/paraffin model when I was 15. It's still running to this day as far as I'm aware and this episode bought back great memories of it. I'm guessing that the water in the sump might be condensation build up.

Jimmy de Ville's Garage Only if you send me the Bandit TShirt 😂😂. Seriously though, the production quality and imagery second to none. I really got a sense of the rust and all the issues you and Gav are facing with the rebuild. Felt I was right there with you both. I take you filmed in HD. It’s really paid off. Great commentary as well keeping us aware of what’s going on and being stripped etc. Can’t wait for episode 2. Episode 1 really rocked Jimmy. Thanks for filming this, appreciated. And finally given what’s going on, stay safe.

@tonystrange72244 жыл бұрын
Yes, your hard work has really come though Jimmy, go enough for mainstream TV. So soon for the next episode, wasn’t expecting that. Brilliant news, can’t wait. Can’t explain why that water was so clear though, I get why it came out first, but not rusty or dirty after all the years it stood is a mystery. And what did Gav do with the stash of Columbian marching powder you found 😉😂😂
