In this episode we dig into the interior (or what's left of it) of the Sweetheart Roadster. We find all kinds of horrible diy repairs from years past, and the rust keeps getting worse every time we dig a little deeper. Wow, that was rusty! Also, is the floor suposed to be made from wood? And what percentage from original body will be at the finished car? Like, is there some part that is not that rusty, that it's usable? P.S. sorry if my questions are not quite understandable, english is not my primary language.

Your English is quite good actually! I would say about 60-70% of the body will be original metal. With this car the really important parts were still in good shape just most of the underside is rusted away. It will move quick once I get the floor all back together. This did have a wood floor originally in some parts with metal in others. Thanks for watching!

A month ago I took my '63VW in for paint thinking there was a dime size rust spot on the drivers door and a 3inch strip of rust over the right side fender. Stripping it down they found many more rust spots and 1/2 ass crappy repairs and wreck damage that had been done to this 57 yr old car. The original bid for the paint job just went way up as a lot of the past was hidden under slick looking paint. I can only imagine what you would find in a Model A.

Thank you, this was super helpful. I have started on my 1929 sport in this video helped me figure out interior floor, panels and seat mounting. Basically, I am putting together a puzzle. I did not take apart and I’m not sure if I have all the pieces. Thanks again.
