An iconic Barn Find in Australia! We unearth an absolute gem from General Motors Holden, one very popular 1950's car, in amazing condition, just like it'd been in a time capsule, not seeing the light of day for nearly 30 years! Our cars of this era shared many styling features of the mid 50's Chevys and sold like crazy here in the day.

I was born in 2000 and watched old Australian videos and was around 16/17 when Holden closed its doors. When these old cars in the 60s and 70s were driving around it seems like a happier time.

Thanks for watching Joe, great to see you take an interest in the early cars. They sure were good times, when Australia manufactured things here and with pride.

Thanks for watching Greg, I get quite emotional myself putting these episodes together, and when tears well in the eyes during post-production, you know you're on the right path as a creator. I just love all the history that comes with these cars, it's priceless. We have a lot more content on the way.

Great presentation on a fabulous classic car : first car was a 58 FC bought in 75 and drove it to school most every day. Then Mum found out. Police Sergeant called home one day; saying, "we've received a report your son's car's been stolen" - Mate and I used to park it two blocks from home, then hop out with our school bags over shoulder and walk the rest of the way home. Old biddy, noticed us and reported two naughty school boys were driving a stolen car. Mum wasn't impressed.

Nice, what a beauty.... no mention of the original wireless visable in the interior frame, but commented on the massive 3" speaker in the back. Was the speaker an option or added in later? Be interested to know. Asked dad who worked in Brisbane and Melbourne during the EJ to HG era, he can't remember any normally available optional rear speaker/s untill HK, with the exception of some special build up-specd EH And HRs that were exported and loaded with electric windows, air-conditioning etc.

FC,had one, great car, was a smaller version of the iconic 57 Chev From the wear on the doors, etc, maybe more miles than on the Speedo. Also Repco put that decal on re-built moters, just sayin.

@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines I reckon so too mate. I grew up watching those shows and loved them. The replays of them are few and far between now. Copyright issues maybe? I dunno know but there used to be a video on KZbin that went for twenty eight minutes showing all the car chases from Bluey. His maroon VK Regal and Valiant Rangers chasing the bad guys, great to watch. Another one that went for a while was a compilation of car chases from the series "Ryan". He had a bronze VH Charger and man didn't he give it some stick. All gone now from KZbin.

@@GlennEverittMasterofMachines I know it mate. Loved watching the XR GT getting rowed along through the gears and the Ranger's speedo showing 100 m.p.h. plus trying to catch it before spinning out in the wet. For some weird reason there is a short clip of just that part that still exists. Still love watching it :))))
