Today's thrift haul comes from a recent barn sale that I went to with my friend Heidi from The Weathered Fencepost. That is the greatest haul for $5 I loved the scarves the crane one was beautiful but I loved the first one that had the diagonal stripes. Loved the glass also. You were right about the sleek bowl it was awesome and I think the bench has great bones and you are going to bring out the beauty in it.

I do something to remember all of my animals that have passed. Charlie deserves to be with the others. I didn't have him cremated, but I did bury him in my garden. Hugs.

Great haul, fill up the car beats the bins! Keep in touch with that company! My favorite is the bench, don't paint it. Take the time to restore it to its original beauty. Im not sure the era it is from but the ornate detail and uniqueness makes it special!

Absolutely beat the bins. Only problem with not painting the bench is that it is covered in nail and staple holes. I plan on filling them in, but I won't be able to stain the file to match the original wood. Hugs.

I was crazy about horses when I was a kid. I wanted one so badly. My dad made one for me out of a wooden sawhorse that had a head with a mane and even a tail. That was the best we could do. I loved him for it. Hugs.

Joanne the plastic Bundt pans are for individual jello molds. Love the bench. Can you show us the bench when you remove the existing fabric before you refinish it. Would you ever consider doing a video showing all your Madonnas and Hummels?

I love the bench, all 3 of the glass pieces, and that little tree is So pretty. I love the little sticks coming out of it. I have a small tree in my main bathroom this year, and it's decorated in birds, small little branches, and a little moss with tiny battery clear lights. I love it. That's what I call a great haul. The little vanity bench is wonderful! It’s my favorite piece. I’d reupholster it in toile fabric … but that’s just me and my toile obsession. The books are pretty great, too.

Hi, Joanne! Love your haul! What a bargain! Those yellow Bundt shaped pans I think are jello molds. Since you can’t bake in them. Just a thought. The scarfs were beautiful too. I must say that retirement certainly agrees with you! When I retired people kept asking me what I was going to do with my time. My reply was always this...I'm going to do three things..I'm going to do nothing, I'm going to do that slowly, and I'm going to do it well!! So far, so good. Well, not really. I've gladly become an Uber/Lyft driver for my son and grandchildren. The time I get to spend with them is priceless. Switching gears here...my favorite was also the bench. The five dollars you spent would have been a score on that alone! Can't wait to see how you transform. Rambling on, the little tree made me think of a restaurant that used to be just "down the road "from me. They kept a big Christmas tree up all year and decorated it accordingly to the holiday, season, Arbor Day ,whatever!! I always looked forward to seeing what they would come up with next. Sadly, it's no longer there. Anyway keep enjoying your retirement! It just keeps getting better from here on!❤

Yes, however there a so many holes in the wood made from multiple nails and staples that need to be filled in. I don't think I can match a wood fill to the stain that is on the wood now. Hugs.
