Just finished all the DS episodes from 1966 to 2971. The ending was a shocker when he realized who he really loved. When he played Bramwell, he looked sooo good. So glad he was abled to play a human for his last episodes in DS. I'm going to go back and watch the romantic ones. I was only 9 or 10 years old when I first saw the show. I appreciate it now. @@deloreswillis9224 Wow! I *am* a geek of this show writing all those lines years ago. Glad it's hearted. Funny, too. I keep watching Jean and Lionel on "As Time Goes By" now because I finally remembered that's how I got Barnabas and Josette to work out. (And I've been validated by two fans of DS and "As Time Goes By" that I was spot on, yay!) It's been nice to find out we both enjoy the romance but also recognise we just want accurate trivia, too.

The Barnabas and Josette storyline is how me and my late fiancé met on Yahoo messenger in the early 2000's. I miss him dearly everyday and we had planned to go see Jonathan Frid in Indiana that same year. Unfortunately, my fiancé never got to meet Jonathan and we never went to the show due to 9/11. This video (and the modern music) are befitting for such a darling couple. I know my fiancé would have enjoyed this. Thank you for uploading this video. I enjoyed it and it also brought tears to my eyes at the same time.

I am so very sorry for your loss. 9/11 was such a heartbreaking sad shocking time. This is a very touching song & remembrance of wonderful DS days gone by. I was an original Dark Shadows Super Fan & dreamer as a child running home from elementary school in Chicago every day to see my favorite dreamy Vampire & my most favorite show for all it's years. I am currently watching every episode from the beginning of the series. I am alone & find comfort & sadness in my private times. I never went to a fan event or convention. Wish I had!! @@robbieplotzker7353 Thank you so much for your condolences, they mean a lot to me. I only attended one DS festival in 1998 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. It was so much fun getting to meet fellow fans, and have the rare chance to meet some of the actors too. I have a lot of pictures and wonderful memories of that moment in my [then] young life. I was in my twenties when I attended the DS festival. My late fiance was (and he'll always be) my "Barnabas" and the tragedy of that storyline of the two Josette and Barnabas had a profound impact on us. I remember we were watching the episodes on cable (not dish network), and we chatted up a storm on yahoo messenger too. 9-11 was chaotic, very much a surreal nightmare, and such a terrible tragedy. It forever impacted how we would later view the world without rose-colored glasses. Much happier times will be had and hopefully I can share them with somebody eventually. Currently I tend to busy myself with working overtime when asked and I'm usually trying to stay caught up on everything else on my days off. I try to watch the original DS when I get home from work, or else I would make myself late if I caught an episode before work. It was stories like this that made Dark Shadows such a classic. With a loyal fandom to this day. Compared to other "soap operas", it really wasn't on the air that long. But no daytime drama has ever been better written and acted.

I was fortunate enough to see the original series when it aired. Both sets of my Grandparents were married for life and I have always been proud of that. Unfortunately I know of no one is married like that today. It must happen but I do not see it anymore. I will always be grateful for the Dark Shadows memories.

There really was a great love story between Barnabas and Maggie/Josette❤️ Rediscovering the show on Amazon Prime has been such a joy! I am not only binge watching, but I bought the entire series through Amazon.ca. It comes in a casket-shaped box and inside all of the DVD’S form a picture of Barnabas laying inside! There is also a wonderful guide to the series to help non-followers understand the story!

The Dark Shadows story was beautiful and riveting, I absolutely think had it not been for Mr. Curtis's decision to use the characters to play multiple roles and going back to the past so quickly, confusing people, it would still be on the air and addicting every generation. People quit it because they got confused, such a shame. I do hope some brave soul will redo it without the kinks. The story is worth being a treasure.

However, the parallel time sequence as well as the 1897 sequence (which came later in the series) did become very confusing, and seemed to be rehashing an old concept that had already been implemented. The departure of Alexandra Moltke (Victoria Winters), the original heroine of the show, was also a major loss.
