Agreed, put the first GPU on 1 rad and the second GPU + the CPU on the other rad, considering it's a gaming PC. Or CPU on 1 rad and 2 GPU's on the second rad if you really need the performance from the CPU. Either of those would allow some very nice OC;ing on the GPU's. And you could cut the amount of case fans and therefore noise down....a lot

Eso SM why split into two loops? reservoir -> pump -> gpu->gpu->cpu->rad->rad... must easier to flush and maintain, than having to separate everything into several loops.

Could you or someone else explain why it fucking matters at _all_? I see people talk about inside the case cable management being a huge deal, but why? Are you planning on using that space to store tea and biscuits? If you say "It looks better": I like the look of the cables randomly running about, opinion is opinion. Is there some actual reason why cable management matters?
@Draycko
@Draycko 10 жыл бұрын
Xendrus Idziak There a Three simple reasons as to why cable management is important: 1) It looks better 2) Better Airflow 3) Managed cables are easier to manage, which is important for maintenance. Would you have the same attitude if you were a technician?

You didn't see the SLI bridge in the video? It is there :) Sorry I didn't do a very good job of pointing it out. Also the reason for the massive cooling system was because when I first purchased it all I wanted to liquid cool everything and my GPU was a hydrocopper but then I upgraded and decided to go air on the GPU since I replace them so frequently. I will try to get waterblocks eventually.

+Jonathan Sullivan Cable management and raising the PC are both things that mainly center around dust collection and airflow. Messy cables = air obstruction and more space for dust to collect, and having a PC on the floor = more dust entering the case.

Why do you have two GTX 680s and yet no SLI bridge between them? And why do you have such a massive cooling system just for your CPU? (Or are you planning on adding water-blocks to the GPU's later?)

It will help a lot! When you read data from physical media it takes time to move around to find it and during that time stutter can occur. Having the drive instantaneously access data should help the problem a lot but not 100% eliminate it.

That is true for most sound cards but in my case the Xonar STX re-encodes the audio stream to Dolby 5.1 so it does touch the audio. But you're right if I want to use the DAC's of the sound card to get the best possible audio from the card I need to run analog, and I do :) I have a switch box to go from 5.1 Dolby Optical to Stereo Analog. I'm covered!

Yeah, a lot of people would have gone the aesthetic approach given the money spent I just got a little lazy and I have upgraded things so many times it just keeps getting more messy. I might just have to make a video of me tearing it all down, cleaning it and assembling it with better cable management and maybe some cool case lighting or something. I've been wanting to change out the liquid hoses with something not clear also like red or blue.

The GPU's were cooled in the original build, when I upgraded the GPU's I went air cooled and planned to get water blocks but decided not too since the performance was already very high. It's a progression :D I'm not going to take the radiators and fans out of the system just because I pulled some hardware out of the loop, besides on my next upgrade I'm going to have more watercooled stuff for sure, just not right now.

I used to have two GPU's in the loop in the original design but I upgraded the GPU's and went with air cooled ones because that was what was available at the time. When the next gen GPU's come out I will upgrade again and get some waterblocks.

While it's nice to work with an anti-static wrist strap, it's not absolutely needed. All you need is to remove socks and shoes, and be sure to touch exposed metal on the case before touching any components, and continue to regularly discharge in the same manner. I've worked on many computers, and have yet to zap a card. The only issue I've ever had is ironically with the anti-static bags that products come in. They remain static free on the inside, but can build quite a charge on the outside.

At full load I have seen 63°C but idle I sit around 25 - 30°C. I have not done a load test since taking the GPU out of the loop so those temps might have dropped a bit.

amazing rig, Jerry. If you don't mind me asking, i'm considering my first buy of an ssd drive because i'am experiencing alot of stuttering in some games. During this I can hear my current hdd going a bit insane loading, especially in Arkham City. My question is would you consider it a valuable upgrade in terms of gaming being a main priority? I get loading times will be increased etc etc. I got two GTX 570s with an AMD phenom II 965 4.0ghz @ 8GB 1600 Ripgaws ram

To answer your other question, I have several gaming headsets. Sometimes I use my Ben Heck 5.1 headset when I want surround sound but most of the time I use my plantronics headset which doesn't have as much base but is much shaper/cleaer when I'm talking to people while playing. I also have a Triton 7.1 surround setup I use when I play my XBOX 360 at night. I am in the market for another better surround sound headset so if you know of one please let me know. Nice case looks good. Difference between the M8 an m10 is the number of PCI slots m8 has 8 pci slots while the M10 has 10 making it able to support XL ATX boards and down without mods and the M8 is limited E-ATX an below. Case dimensions are the same which is why the M10 is left with a little less room since it can handle a larger MB
