OMG I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!! I'm only like on season 2 of HIMYM but I've seen a lot of videos about these two and I just *know* I will adore them. Even though I know how the show ends... but yeah I really can't wait to reach the moment when their love story truly starts. I’ll never understand why the writers ended with Ted and Robin. It made absolutely no sense. How many times did Robin say she wasn’t in love with Ted?🤦🏼‍♀️ They need to reboot the show and correct the mistake. 😆

The advantage is that there is an alternative ending(it's official because the writers put that alternative ending like part of the DVD), and in this ending Ted does not return to Robin. (Thanks to the producers) Yes, Robin and Barney get divorced(in the alternative ending too), but from my perspective it was another show of love. Robin wanted to follow her dream of being a famous reporter, and Barney wanted to have a life in New York...That's why, being honest with her, they decided to divorce, so that Robin would have no ties to achieve her dreams. And yes, maybe we'll see the Barney who dated many women again, but I think that was his way of avoiding the biggest pains... like when he lost his first girlfriend, or when he broke up with Robin for the first time, or Nora or Quinn. For me it was a nice divorce, not one based on cheating. Barney was able to open his eyes to love again thanks to Robin, and in his greatest show of affection, instead of holding her back, he made her free to achieve her greatest dream. That was not something selfish. In that alternate ending, I get the impression that they might get together again in the future.

@@jessi-hd5ywI don’t accept this ending for them either. We know already that Barney accepts this about who Robin is. Her career isn’t something he ignores or doesn’t take seriously. He knew that about her when they met. He literally likes her being independent and having a career. A lot of this showed how much he had grown. He is being a supportive friend and spouse. If it wasn’t for Barney a lot of the time Robin would be stalling on her career path but he helps her achieve the dreams she always wanted. Barney was never holder her back from achieving the things she wanted to. I honestly don’t think they grew apart because of this. If they absolutely had to divorce it would be because they couldn’t find a reasonable solution to her infertility which is a really big issue that never was dealt with in the right way. They used Tracy as a means for Ted to have his bratty kids and still end up where he started because he never learned anything… Robin found a balance with her relationship with Barney her character development went along with his. They found peace in their crazy lives and friendship. They know who the other one is and accepts both sides of each other. The divorce was literally to put Ted back with Robin when they kill off Tracy. It’s the incorrect ending. Barney and Robin are very much together, even if they aren’t married they always find a way to be together. Yes their lives were messy and they were unsure about a lot of things but that is life. If you end up where you started it’s not character/personal growth it’s literally starting from where you started in life. They met at a time when they weren’t quite ready to commit to anything but they are ready when they get engaged. For me I feel like they should’ve just been engaged for a while and maybe traveled a it together before getting married. I feel like these two would totally get engaged and then spend years just being engaged and not yet married but making a joke about being happy they aren’t married yet cause the divorce rate is so high. These two are two peas in a small pod.
