Everything he says here makes total sense. The whole "we have to make sure you're not a flash in the pan" thing is 100% why they didn't put the WWE title on L.A. Knight. The whole long-term booking mindset only works on the top level big draw stars. Not every storyline needs to be long term. The variety of the revolving door is what helps other people get over.

And yet guys like Sheamus get the big strap put on in 6 months. Not knocking the Irishman at all, he totally deserves everything he's earned. Just saying that Vince isn't known for "waiting and seeing." I wonder if that's more of a HHH move. Not paying big until you've proven it.
@RossMalagarie10 сағат бұрын
Also if they book a guy as an unstoppable monster/unbeatable guy he will either get boos or cheers but they will also have to pay that person A HELL OF A LOT MORE MONEY come contract time, so they prefer 50/50 booking so they don't have to pay Stone Cold/Brock/Rock/Roman contracts where the super star has so much leverage they can get top dollar AND only work about 50 dates a year compared to working 4 days a week 48 weeks a year like everyone else

@@shawnheidingsfelder8179 Sheamus won the 2012 Royal Rumble because he allegedly was working out along with Triple H. They've alluded to Chris Jericho winning in kayfabe before the Rumble. Then afterwards, he just said he was trolling us.

Man he was one of those guys thar was willing to give the busisness whatever he could contribute. Lost his briefcase and world title push, became the finger pointing exercise for why wwe sucked in 2018-2019 when he turned into constable corbin, was in arguably ine of the worst fueds with roman reigns of all people before he came back as the tribal chief. And when they made him retire angle they never followed up with an actual push to make him benefit from it. Not to mention the fact he got sad and happy corbin over with the crowd which was in essence just a straight burial if it wasnt for his attitude trying to sell it. Then they give him nothing and he personally requests to go to nxt because he feels like he was no longer contributing on the main roster. My hats off to the guy, he worked hard and gets hated on alot but he gave it all in the ring and was a really underrated worker with a super solid look and had an awesome signature/finisher that couldve been main event material if they didnt ruin that aswell! All in all, respect to Corbin man.

it's funny how the NXT callup problem is alive well under Triple H plus people were worried about how guys like Ciampa and Gargano would be under Vince and despite being HHH's NXT darlings, they are not over at all since they reunited as DIY. Triple H definitely has his own unique problems as booker compared to Vince's problems as booker.

To this day, I stand on the idea that Baron should have joined Judgement Day as soon as Damien was being outted. His image perfectly suits the group. He’s a perfect match to compete with Damien Priest. He’d immediately jump up the card in a believable way. And if he wanted to make a case to be the new leader and have a new version of judgement day in his image, I think it would be doable.

I mean the caveat to Flair being a 16 time world champ, is that he lost it, 16 times and put 16 guys over, and i mean the contract is temporary, if you put asses in seats, they'll bite the bullet and pay a longer deal, but even a 2 year contract at slightly below the top guys but stil profitable, and it ends up being a flash in the pan, you didnt write it for 6 years, its only 2, and the fans got 2 years of wrestling outta you, which in the fans eyes is a long time, i mean look at the attitude era, its full of flashes in the pan but was it not worth the investment and entertainment?

yeah, they definitely forced him to carry Raw as an authority figure and he just wasn't ready for that. and then there was the whole wrestling in business casual. Felt like a rib at times. @ Negotiation 101 is to ask for more than what you'd get. Even when you negotiate down, you still may get more than what you'd get. If you're truly unhappy, walk away. Risk losing out on a new deal because you know your value. It's amazing some people never get that; then again, that's on them for being so naive.
