Hey everyone, WhatsUp! This is Abhishek Mungekar and welcome to another episode of Travel Wow. Today's Vlog is about Shri Baronda Devi Mandir Gad which is in Virar (Mumbai). Baronda Devi is an ancient temple and also a rock-cut cave from second century BC. It is located near Papadkhind Dam, atop hill in the eastern part of the virar city. The location of the temple is picturesque and travelers take a day's trek to visit this place of religious importance.

Travel Route to Baronda Devi Mandir Gad from Mumbai City is as follows:-
1) Reach Virar Station on the Western Railway Mumbai Suburban line.
2) Exit on the Eastern side of Virar. From Station, take a Rickshaw to Phoolpada.
3) Get down at Phoolpada and reach Phoolpada Dam also known as Papadkhind Dam which is just 2 mins walk away (You can ask nearby locals, they will guide)
4) After reaching the Dam, enjoy the pleasant, silent environment and then start the trek to Baronda Devi Mandir from there. (As shown in the vlog)

How much time it takes to reach baronda temple from dam? How many steps? Is auto available from dam to foot of baronda temple hill? Do answer all questions.

It will take 45 mins to 1 hr to reach the dam through walking. Steps are more than 700. Autos availability depends locally.
