The point of the.... point of the uruk-hai sword is that it can be used for armor piercing. A sharp balde cant cut through the helmets and the chainmal of rohan warriors so the spike/pointy bit can be used to negate the armor. The youtuber SKALLAGRIM made a video on the practicality of LOTR swords and the he really liked the Uruk machete. In my opinon it is a brutal weapon and fits the character of the uruk-hai very well. :D It is the same with thin arrowheads which are used specifically for chainmail-penetration. Edit: Of course with enough power (which the uruks do not lack) you could still do a lot of damage to a typical rohan warrior (considering not all wear chainmail but also leather) but the spike is still a useful tool for heavily armored opponents.

The first reason for the design of the Uruk-hais swords was to trigger fear in the hearts of their enemies, because they remember them on butcher knifes. Those swords were forged with steel which was coruppted by the dark magic of Saruman. Because of this material the sword could cut through armor if the soldier had enough strengh to do it (which the Uruk-hais of course had). The thorn on the back of the swords top was to ram it through shields to pull them from their enemies arm or to ram it through stronger armor like a chestplate and deal deadly damage by rip it out of the bodys flesh. As an extra, those sword would cover in blood the more the Uruk-hai butcher and Uruk-hais love human or elvish blood. Sorry for the bad English, I'm from Germany ^^

Do an Xenomorph mod. Here are some ideas for units: -Xenomorph: can jump and deflect projectals -Facehuggers: jump on top of enemy’s and kills them instantly and turns them into chest buster. But dies after doing so -chest buster : little worms that jump at enemy’s and bites them. Transforms into Xenomorph after killing an enemy - Xenomorph spitter: spits acid - Xenomorph guards: bigger and stronger than standard Xenomorphs - Queen Xenomorph: even bigger than guards and lays eggs. Moves very slow -Eggs : after 5 seconds transforms into Facehugger . Leave other ideas if you like it.

The tip on the Uruk-Hai's... "sword" is for pulling people of their horses. Plus you can scrach your back easily. That sword is cheap to produce, very easy to make and useful in battle.

Since they usually fought Rohirrim which rode mostly on horses, and so the sword was probably meant to tear into their Armour and pull them off. But yes it was probably use for that too.

Canned Knight yeah also I’m pretty sure also with a sword like that it gives them a lot more options for combat instead of what a normal sword would give them. While it’s very affective in both getting rid of shields or armor they can be a bit inconvenient. Since you would want your enemy to be a bit farther away then right in front of you. If they were up close then a wooden bat would be more useful than the sword. I don’t really remember why though. Though to put it short it’s not the type of weapons that units in tabs would be good at using. They already seem to struggle sometimes with swords some other weapons

But how would you pull the shield away? Unless it is wooden and you hit it with the tip so it stick in the shield. Even then you have your sword unusable and in the other hand you have nothing, but the enemy has a sword in their hand. It is not for pulling the shield away.

Tip for baron castle mod: the block need to deal damage because when a soldier is on a walls and the wall fell and burry them they survive, and is trapped, so they can’t be hurt. It has to deal damage because so we don’t have a battle drawn on with troops can’t be hurt and protected by fallen bricks

13:43 I don't know anything about modding, but logically speaking, you may be able to get those platforms on the mammoths as a unit in itself, with a hit box in the center? That way, the platform can be the "mammoth rider" and the platform itself could have custom seating with ranged units, like how the wheelbarrow and the Long ship have seating with units inside. With the hit box thing, maybe you can make it so if you hit the pole in the center, it would count as hitting the mammoth rider, and if you hit it enough, maybe it could also have a custom dismemberment thing like the wheelbarrow or skeletons? If that happens, it could be like the wheelbarrow, where the bob Ross(the mammoth in this case) is killed, the wheelbarrow(platform in this case) falls apart and the other units(the ranged ones on top of the platform in this case) can continue battling. Also, if you hit the wheelbarrow enough, it will fall apart on its own and acts like a unit, so bob Ross and the other dudes continue fighting, in this case being the mammoth and ranged units. Again, I don't actually know anything about modding and this is all theory, but in theory, it should work. Like so Baron sees pls
