EmoSavage yep but now i recommend a little bit more snake archer because knights are tank and is going to be very hard to knock all 5 out along with a king. maybe 20-35 snake archer, the mammoth is a very tanky moving thing that is fragile to projectiles, It needs 2 ballista or 3 ballista shot for a confirmed kill. if it can get close to the formation, it can break any formation no prob. though it has some trouble fighting tanks and ranged unit, though it can hold itself until it gets to the unit. a good counter to mammoth should be the sarissa, because their pike can hold the mammoth still while inflicting damage. But yeah, mammoth are pretty tanky, scarecrow can deal alot of damage to one unit, but not good with crowd control, though mammoth might friendly fire the minotaurs

Every unit has a very good counter and that is why you don’t just put down 1 King with a bunch of Priests because one Ballista just wins the whole game, that is why you use other units to support, to counter your other units’ counter, if that makes any sense.

What will actually win most of the campaign levels: When facing a larger, better funded army... A catapult (or two) with a few standard melee units behind and beside it, at mid range. Place a shield bearer on the front lines to act as bait. Your enemy will gather together at one point, where your shield is. Your catapult will wipe a large amount of them out when it gets in range, at this point it has stopped moving, allowing the next phase. Your infantry will march in front of your catapult, simultaneously cleaning up stragglers, and protecting your catapult long enough to launch another ball. Adjust appropriately for amount of gold you possess, and have some shield bearers protect the catapult if there are archers. If there are high-health units like mammoths in the mix, bring a ballista to the battlefield. The Ballista is *The best* unit for pure damage. In the old versions of TABS, this thing would one shot the Dark Peasant! And now, it can two-three shot the mammoth, and one-two shot the king.

Two minotaurs can kill a mammoth, which is why I consider them to be the best unit, also, there is a possibility that the minotaurs can have good crowd control, and they also have a decent amount of health. they should add a campaign where you have to survive a bunch of attacks and the units from the last wave carry on to the next wave and depending on what units you kill you get the money they cost back, and then for that mode you could start on a blank map and use a seperate currency than what you use for units to make buildings and by the end of it you would have gone from a pretty empty map with just some campfires to a huge castle with lots of defensive positions. you could also have traps as a kind of building
