It's too bad the game has essentially been abandoned and from what I heard, there are a lot of server errors, glitches, and hackers present. Baron, if you ever happen to come by this message, I just wanna let you know I have really appreciated your time for playing this game. If you want some tips on how to get better at Guns Up!, read more. 1. Attack 2-skull and Red 3-Skull bases to receive the maximum amount of XP for veterans possible. Avoid 1-skull bases. 2. Don't even bother opening HQ and Resource Crates. Only use your keys and gold for Unit Crates as they can provide Hero units and is the only resource you can get Hero Perks from. 3. Replace the 4 Assaults and 4 Mercenaries Squad for your HQ with the 5 Grunts and 2 Sharpshooters. The 2 Sharpshooters can really tear up low-tier infantry units much better than 4 Mercenaries can, especially if they are given "Endless Clips". 4. Your veterans are expendable. Obviously if they are Golden Veterans, then I can understand. But if they are general-purpose troops such as Rangers or Grunts that either Bronze or Silver, feel free to deploy them. 5. You have already unlocked all the Regular Units in the game. I recommend you just use your munitions from now on to buy Attack Cards Packs or to upgrade your buildings. I especially recommend upgrading your Tents and A.A. Guns. 6. At this stage in the game, some units I recommend you AVOID using on ATTACK(unless you are trying to work on Medals, complete a mission, or just having fun) are Mercenaries, Flamers, Chemists, Assaults, Engineers, Machine Gunners, and Medics. Those units are of little value as you progress in the game and I'll explain why: - Mercenaries are no where near as good as Rangers. Rangers have a much better output and can stand their ground better from my experience. Their longer range means nothing as that makes them an inferior version of a Sniper or Sharpshooter. - The short range of Chemists and Flamers is REALLY detrimental as they will die easily from Sniper Towers or any other long-ranged unit. Note that Chemists do not affect structures, so yeah. - Assaults are slightly better in close combat compared to Grunts, but that's really about it. Again, their shorter range is detrimental, and their higher price and cooldown makes Grunts FAR superior as an expendable unit. Even if Assaults were better than Grunts, Rangers are still a better and more reliable option for bullet DPS. - Engineers have high HP and good stagger resistance. However, Riots do their job better at tanking bullets and their ability to repair the Transport Truck is useless. - Machine Gunners are slow and their wide bullet spread isn't makes it easy for a sea of grunts to overwhelm them. Granted, most units in the game can be overwhelmed by Grunts, but at least they are much more successful at holding their ground. You are better off with Rangers or even Commandos if you have them for bullet DPS. - I have seen people state that Medics are overpowered, which I find ridiculous. Surgeons are FAR superior than Medics and that is a fact. I don't have Surgeons myself, but from I've seen from KZbin Gameplay as well as seeing them on Wave and CPU Defense that Surgeons can revive a whole team and allow them to push forward in such a way a Medic can only dream off. If a unit sustains too much damage, then they will die regardless if a Medic is healing them. In comparison, any unit within the Surgeon's radius will be revived. 7. Start scrapping some of your cards, Baron. Some useless cards that you can scrap are Unit Health, Unit Damage, Unit Fire Rate, Fatigue, Influenza, Army Surplus, and Proving Grounds. You should also try scrapping Plague and Berserk with each other and other rare cards as they are of higher value and thus, you may get better rewards from scrapping. One card I recommend you do NOT scrap is Tactical Boots. It is an amazing card that allows your units to walk through barbed wire with no difficulty. Combine it with extra munitions and rally flags and it can work wonders.

Tips!! For base design, put a central route, with rocks on the flanks. Use snipers to cut and weaken the enemy, and use lots of bombardiers on sandbags to destroy the enemy.

You should get some surgeon veterans, it can save you munitions. Plus use your Seargeant more, it can boost your units damage by 80% and accuracy by 20% but it can only boost 8 units.
