The minotaur in the maze has several buffs such as the red shrine buff, health regen, magic resistance, levitation and troll's blood. Placing the orb on the pedastal close to the end will remove some of those buffs to make killing the minotaur easier.

Oh yea, another thing, if you place the orb on the pedastal after the minotaur is already dead, you will hear an angry roar much like the minotaurs but not much else happens unfortunately.

magnificient work, friend! worthy of note: the minotaur is *much* more powerful than usual in its maze, and placing the red orb on the pedestal at the end of the maze will strip it of its additional strength, as well.

Thanks for letting me know! I find him to be very manageable, especially in the Maze. Maybe I'm biased, but I don't really struggle with him-- although, it's probably because I will only go in the Maze when I'm fully stacked. Otherwise, I opt to simply skip it. But I wasn't aware of the orb stripping the strength, I thought it just slowed. Good catch! :)

Honestly the sand labyrinths were a breeze the first time through, especially compared to the swamp, I didn't even realise Xyggy was a boss just through it was a troll equivalent. Although to be fair I had a really easy time thanks to finding Shelob and un-cursing that stealth ring and THEN also encountering the potato king; blessed by RNG.

Knowing that the minotaur maze is the same layout every time and that it is possible to flee the minotaur instead of fight is a huge relief! The last two days I have escaped the and labyrinth twice, but only gotten the red orb with w 3 person group with lots of followers/dominated monsters

This was a great video with the same level of clarity that the last two entries in this series have, nice work! Do you plan to cover all of the areas in the game, or are you just taking it one video at a time? I can imagine these videos take a while to make especially if you are testing drop rates.

I definitely want to make a video that's all of the stages in one, almost like a crash course on surviving a whole playthrough. Until then, I'll likely make an in-depth video about each stage, then that previous project!

Xyggi has reflection? Must have been changed I ran across him in one unfortunate mage run, i could hit him but my spells barely did anything but they didn't reflect off. My game is prior to the hats update cause I've got steam perma-offline due to it dropping support for Windows 7, a bit afraid the launcher will update and break entirely.

He does! I can't quite remember which update changed that, but yes, mages struggle a LOT against Xyggi. I shot him with over 100 spells while testing it and he will reflect every single one, all while taking no damage!
