John D Johnston here again, I have only resently discovered Akcel Rykvin. What an amazing voice from one so young. I first heard his rendition of Laudate Dominum about three months ago, since then, I have been exploring his career. I can only say that I will listen to anything he sings. Since I have KZbin, I have subscribed and receive all notifications of Akcels performances as I receive notifications of all my many favorite performers.

Kirsten Flagstad was one of the treasures of the 30's and 40's, a Wagnerian soprano of enormous talent whom I had the pleasure of listening to when I was a child. I've never forgotten and never heard a soprano who was close to her in all the 70 years of my life.

A baritone can theoretically learn to sing in counter tenor range but whether he wants to or whether it would be the right path, who knows? I suspect he is enjoying his new voice. I have listened to several of his baritone tapes and the voice is really nice and growing in strength every month.
