I was good friends with a very active AMICA member who had an impressive collection. These instruments are truly a wonderful product of engineering genius and musical joy. It is disappointing that there aren't more visits to this clip... one wonders about the future stewardship of self-playing instruments, world-wide.

ein wunderschönes Instrument , nur leider macht des nur eine Umdrehung , und es geht wieder von vorne an ; -- und ich schätze , es is nicht einfach so eine Walze zu wechseln ; verglichen mit späteren Notenrollen und dann Schallplatten is des dann schon einfacher für eine Konzert und Tanznacht ;
