I watch EMHE repeatedly. It never gets old. It makes me feel good inside. The barretts are in my top 5 favorites. I love this family. I have 10 adopted kids that were approximately 10 yrs old at time of adoption. These kids of mine are godsend. And you can tell these parents feel the same. Love the kids too. The smile on Dusty is infectious and genuinely happy. Thank you mom and dad but also to biological kids to for accepting them all as your siblings. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I have been watching your show for so many years, I love what you do. I have moved to the Philippines 15 years ago and married here and bought a house and lot , my house was becoming dangerous termites was eating it up. I started remodeling piece by piece but ran out of budget when we took in a 84 year old woman with no family and no place to go , where she was living she was being put out to live on the street. So we stopped construction of our home and put our roof over her head. We are trying to get her placed in a home for the aged. She has been with us a year so far.

Agree, especially property taxes because once they build it it's so enormous and so customized that the property taxes go sky high and of course the utilities as well

The way this lady spoke about horses and their reactions and emotions is exactly spot on. If you learn to read body language, humans become easier to understand as well. Horses Also have been proven to lower the heart rate of humans just by being around them and that is why they work very well for therapy.

I googled the Barrett family to see if there were any updates because usually there are updates about the families who appear on EM:HE. I didn't have to look very hard and I found a couple of updates. It appears that 2 years after this in 2007, they were finalising an adoption. So they were able to put Ty's secret project room to good use. However, sadly in 2015, Jennifer died of complications with diabetes.
