Hi Tyler. That track you winched up in this episode at the Barrington Tops, is the same track I drove down in a 2WD automatic HJ Holden panel van back in the 90's, with some mates. Once it started to get steep, we could not return, so we had to keep going. We made it out but it was an epic adventure. I'm guessing no one else has ever driven that track in a standard 2WD car and made it out unaided. Surely no one else would be that crazy.

Im loving your videos. Thanks for taking the time to film this, i can only imagine how relentless getting the cameras in position would be. Good on ya for getting your boy out there with ya. I can't wait till my boys are old enough to get out there with them as well.

Do you do any stabilisation in iMovie or do you find the lens stabilisation is good enough, just trying to choose between the a6300 and a6500. Not sure I can justify the extra dosh for the 6500 as you footage looks excellent.
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Na I dont do any stabilisation in iMovie mate, it takes too long and not worth it. The difference between the 6300 and 6500 is pretty small with stabilisation. It's more just how you use them, I always try to do a lot of tripod shots rather then hand held and holding the camera steady when you are doing handheld. The other thing is filming in less frames per second, I film in 30 frames per second now and its pretty steady. Whereas if you look at my blue mountains series I was filming in 60 frames per second or 120 and its so shakey.

Cool, thanks for the info. I think I’ll stick with the 63. Cheers

Hey mate love the videos. Want to head to Gummy falls with some friends but they only have a soft roader AWD. Is there a more standard dirt road to get in to Gummi falls?
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, cheers! Tugalow trail is currently closed (the harder one) but you would be fine in an AWD coming in the other way, it was recently graded and is in good condition

What is the point of a 4x4 if both the front wheels don't spin unless you have a locker? In other words is a 4x4 useless without a front locker?
@shalininaicker6 жыл бұрын
Was that the Bungaree Trail? You might have to invest in a front locker.
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Umm Bull Ridge Road I think it was? I can't really remember now but. Yeah front locker would be good, just need the money haha

Awesome video mate, just saw both parts. Looking at the video, it doesn't look like Murray river campground is too hard to get in, but Gummi falls seems to have some steep and deep ruts, is that 2:20 track the way in? because that looks pretty difficult
@TylerThompson906 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. Yep Murray campground is easy and Gummi falls is fine as well. That track at 2.20 isn't the way into to Gummi Falls. 11.10 is the easy way into Gummi Falls and then 14:36 is the other way which is a little trickier but nothing too hard
