The man with the shades is my tio Mando, he recently passed away but he did join the navy and went to university later, if I remember correctly he studied ethnic studies (chicano studies) and was a beautiful guitarist, he would play at the family parties and played for me when my mom passed away. He & my family went through a lot, I know my dads in this doc but u only see his head in the background in the scene after this when they meet under the bridge... the full documentary is on vimeo tho
