I grew up in Texas in the 1950's, then my family moved to Northern California. I never forgot the segregation and racism that I experienced in Texas. It is so sad that history films like this are still not taught in all high schools. Learning about this country's true history is a step toward understanding our current problems. Knowing this history can inspire us to keep fighting for equality and justice. Learning about each other's history shows us how much we have in common and that your struggle is my struggle. To all that worked on this film, thank you.

This is sad, I never knew this about my city. I thought that Tucson was the most diverse and welcoming place, but of course, that was almost two years ago before I moved from Tucson.
