Barry is a strong good, husband, dad, brother and past son. Indeed he is gifted in many ways yet I can’t imagine his intense pain he has gone through. Bottom line inspite of the gifts God gives it still comes w tremendous pain. My heart hurts for this beautiful man and his beautiful wife Linda. 'Words' has always been one of my top favourites of the Bee Gees songs, and when it is sung as a dedication to his lovely wife, the song takes on a whole new meaning. I'm sure the people attending that concert felt it too. Maybe it was written especially for Linda, way back when. The words have a special significance when sung especially for the love of one's life!

Barry actually wrote "Words" for Cliff Richard's but he was unable to record it so our AMAZING Bee Gees recorded it....One of their best songs in my opinion. Barry said in the Pierce Morgan interview that when he sings "To love Somebody" he only thinks of Linda. Sir Barry is the most AMAZING MAN to ever grace the earth....Linda is a very very lucky woman.

He fell in love with Linda in September 1967 and they started living together, but he divorced his first wife in 1970. Afterwards, they married Linda immediately. He said that his first wife meant nothing to him.

I am sure they have had their struggles. Imagine if all of these women were screaming for your husband. Barry was smart to make sure Linda came to just about every one of their shows. Linda has also been through just about everything Bee Gees. They can be an enormous comfort to one another. I credit her with making Barry get back to creating music and touring after the death of his brothers. Andy, Maurice, and Robin were her relatives, and she loved them very much. It must have been extremely scary to watch Barry in the throes of his depression, not knowing what could be done to help him. It is heart warming to see a show business marriage last 48 years and counting, with 5 amazing children and 7 grandchildren. It is obvious that they are still very much in love, and that means everything!!!

The only thing I find strange is that when Barry toured he always took all his family too. It must have been extremely hard for Linda and the children. It makes me wonder who didn't trust who? I hope so. But whether he was or wasn't their love has endured. The whole family was exceptional in that 4/4 famous brothers completely stayed out of trouble in terms of drugs,cheating,altercations w neither strangers nor domestic altercations,no legal issues where they are sueing record labels or managers,or each other,no selling out for commercial endorsements,no trying to use their celebrity status to politically influence their fans....NOT EVEN a divorce in the family! These are a family of very evolved,spiritual,peaceful,good,kind,friendly,loving individuals .

@@m_christine1070 I agree with you M Christine on most of what you said. First off each of the Bee Gees was divorced and each wife was their second wife. And the I'm not sure I think Andy's divorce finally went through. He had a daughter named Peta whom he did not make arrangements for in his will. After Andy passed away, Barry stepped in and made arrangements for her care. She is married with two or three children I'm not sure. There really wasn't any physical abuse in their families nor were the police ever called however Moe was an alcoholic and did have screaming fits. Watch the video fighting back. It's the story of his fight against alcoholism and how he turned his life around. Fascinating video he was an incredible man. It will make you love Mo more.

The Bee Gees did sue Robert Stigwood and their record label, I think it was Atlantic at the time, for unpaid royalties. It was settled out of court and apologies between the two parties occurred. It must have been amicable for both parties because the brothers held Stigwood in very high regard. In fact Barry thought the world of him and wrote a song for him, I forgot which one.

I can still hear all 3 of them singing with Barry still. it's my minds muscle memory cause I grew up in the 1960s as a Grade school girl listening to all their music. than later on the disco music came alive with all 3 of the Bee Gees men singing the songs us old disco dancing era people will never forget like, "YOU SHOULD BE DANCING".
