Barry seems more than just 'Hollywood smart'. He's definitely very, very intelligent. He's the first guest I've seen that figured out Sean's little interviewing trick - mirror the guest reactions to the wings to make them more comfortable and open. And he's done it just by pure observation. There's also something about the way he talks about his acting style, treating it like a love interest, having that deeper understanding of 'not always giving people what they want so they always come back for more'. Not many young actors get that. I feel like it's just him and Zendaya, perhaps. They both understand how much they need to give the audiences so that they want more. This kid is street smart, unlike many of his other peers in Hollywood and that can play hugely in his favour.

Barry is such a freaking delight. I love that he can play such intense and complex characters in films, but in interviews he is often just a quirky, sweet goofball. Goes to show how great of an actor he really is. Really looking forward to seeing what he does in the future!

I loved how anti-comfy he is like his many characters, with all his twists, and his anxiousness and his tension, and tumultuousness, and yet, being a good bloke, but no t trying to be all that intendedly polite and false. That is what struck me as I watch and listen to him. That is why he's he makes people intrigued or pushed away, vice versa, he's not dull and not fully on the surfuce, so to say, and revealing. And yes, the things he said about acting craft and what kind of movies he prefers, just sounds like so coming along with his real self and his screen self.

I’m from very close to where Barry’s Granny lives and it’s a real Dublin phrase to say “d’ya know what I mean”. Even though he is young he has had such an eventful live. His mother was a drug addict (as most people were in the area) and died at 33 I think (or 31). He was in 13 different foster homes with his brother. He is amazing. You couldn’t meet a nicer fella. Check him out in his first acting role - it’s called Love/Hate. It’s about the Irish drug gangland scene. It is so true to life too
