I got to know who Barry is by seeing him interviewed on Letterman in the 90's and 00's. I remembered him being one of the funniest guests ever. Then I found out that he was a very successful director and cinematographer, writer and actor. He's one of the rare people that know how to direct a comedy that ends up actually being funny. I also love Seinfeld who I followed for a few years before his show in the 90's. I loved his style of stand up and know that there's way more to him than the guy he played on his own show. I used to listen to people say "he's not even that funny on the show and it's named after him". He basically was the straight man letting the other characters shine. His ego balance is just about on point because he's funnier than anyone who was on the show but he didn't feel the need to be. He has a genuine appreciation for other funny people.

Hi, Mr. Seinfeld. I have happily watched, several times, each of your CCGC episodes and all subsequent online interviews regarding the same. I thank you for your hours of hard work, entertaining us on many nights after the mundane work day. On a somewhat similar note, now and again I have heard you mention in a comedic tone and situation how you are "done" with life, having already accomplished and succeeded in most of your endeavors, etc. Might I suggest that you discover the academic arena for your energies. If you are "bored," you have stopped learning; you have ceased making dreams. You know this. What you neglect is how you avoid the academic arena in your pursuits. If I may -- and with all respect -- Mr. Seinfeld, you utter and offer many off-base comments regarding a number of topics. Without addressing any particular topic, I would consider offering that perhaps you might study linguistics, in that you clearly have a love for words and language. Please pick up a study of something as this, process and then teach us through your humorous filter. You are not done yet. I apologize for my presumptive take.

I can also offer Jerry Seinfeld another productive outlet. Take Warren Buffet's reommendation to bequeath some 50% of more of your overproductive weallth to needed charitable ordanizations who can do the world's necesary attempts at solution. In my own case, I am now 88 years old, and I bequeated something in excess of 68% of my excess to charities and the return (satisfaction is overwhelmingly good) more than pays dividends for my deeds and efforts. I wholeheartedly recommend this worthwhile use of your time and weatth.

Glad to hear the greatest movie ever made was "The Sound of Music" it's not likely correct, however if I had to pick one movie as my favorite it would be "The Sound of Music".And Jerry has a wonderful laugh and he invents things all the time and in the moment on a regular basis to laugh about. These two have a great chemistry and understand each other accurately and on extremely deep level

Big fan of Seinfeld the show and Seinfeld the comedian. I was watching something of his recently and had an idea that I wanted to share with him. Do not expect he will see this but here we go. Jerry, you should teach a course on "comedy" at a university. You will not make "Seinfeld" money, but you will not have any problem finding a U that will accept the idea.

@Guy Healy Jerry and other comics have repeatedly said that you can't teach comedy, that it's something you're born with. You can learn to hone it and channel it, but the innate timing and instinct is inborn. The best we can do is watch as many interviews with him and other comics we admire as we can find. There's a lot of wisdom there. But whenever someone asks them about teaching a class, they make faces and say it can't be taught. "You just have to do it and keep at it," is the most common response. Also that the audience is your best teacher: you have to get up and fail repeatedly in order to learn. (I have a cousin who's having some success as a standup. I've watched him work his way up the ranks, online, on TV, and live; it takes years.) OTOH, Jerry's comments on his writing process are gold, and apply to any kind of writing task. So there's sure something there he can pass on.

Basically what I’m trying to say is just fucking enjoy listening to these to friends talking.

shame on you, 92nd st Y, provide all offerings that include Q&A with off-stage microphones for the questions being asked. no one who does not hear the question, understands the question. and the on-stage participants are seldom able to paraphrase the questions prior to answering it. Absent this slight modification, much of the day's offering's time is wasted in the awkward transition. I lived at 89th and Lex for years and know that this problem is one of long duration. TIME TO SOLVE IT NOW!!!! Sorry for my typos but I am almost blind and am only touch-typing this response.
