I think it is 100% still worth it if you are travelling on the London public transport system as you will be capped a fixed daily fee that can't be breached when you you use tubes, buses etc and this includes the cable car so absolutely worth it!

You can still see the cable cars at Alton Towers resort n Staffordshire Barry as well as the gondolas at Walt Disney world in Florida

My wife and I are visiting London soon, so we are busy trying to work out our itinerary. We would love to go on the cable car, but were wondering whether there is any benefit to booking tickets early (online) It looks like it's the same price as paying on the day. Maybe with pre-booked tickets there would be no need to queue, but are the queues really that bad ? Of course, if the weather is bad, maybe the flexibility of paying on the day would actually be better.

To be honest it’s better to turn up on the day, usually they isn’t any cues only for the ticket office but that only about two or three people, you can use contactless and Oyster cards if you wanted to

@@BarrysViews Thank you for your reply .. yes, I think that's what we'll do, just turn up. Sadly, last Novemeber we had a break in London (our first trip away for many years) and travelled to North Greenwich, only to find the cable car was closed for maintenance. Yes, I should probably have checked online, but who does that ? Regards from Whitley Bay
