Singapore Level 3 artistic gymnastics uneven bars routine
NorthStar Gymnastics Invitational provides a conducive platform for budding gymnasts to engage in friendly competition with their peers while showcasing their skills to the gymnastics community. NorthStar Gymnastics also hope to play a part in promoting the growth of the sport in Asia with an annual NorthStar Gymnastics meet. In 2019 we welcomed over 300 gymnasts from more than 20 regional teams to this 2nd Invitational. After a hiatus of two years due to the pandemic, the NorthStar Gymnastics Invitational is back this year.
In artistic gymnastics, the uneven bars is an apparatus used by female gymnasts. It consists of two parallel bars of different heights, with the high bar set at a height of approximately 2.4 meters and the low bar set at a height of approximately 1.75 meters. Gymnasts perform a series of swings, circles, and releases on the bars, as well as leaps and other acrobatic elements.
The uneven bars event is one of the four women's events in artistic gymnastics, along with the balance beam, floor exercise, and vault. It is known for its high degree of difficulty, as gymnasts must have a combination of strength, flexibility, and coordination to perform the required elements.
Gymnasts are scored based on the difficulty of their routines, as well as their execution, artistry, and form. In international competition, each gymnast performs two routines on the uneven bars, with the highest score counting towards her total.
