Working with Devlin is like working at a company you like but have trash management that focuses only on numbers(Brandon and Smitty). You need some passion(Smitty and MRags), some support from management(Dave and PC) and people to do the background work(Blaze and interns). Barstools could make a shitload of money from gaming. Gaming team, lets plays, gaming news, hosting tournaments, merch and mobile game.

I don't get how Devlin takes pride in Gametime's 'numbers', the twitter only gets 100+ likes when they tweet someone else's clips, the KZbin pretty much never passes a few thousand views. They only had a moderate level of success when Fortnite was extremely popular, where basically everyone knew about it to some extent. I also think it's a poor idea to try to cater to a child audience with language when most of your fans are adults. They should've tried to work on their gambling side of streaming on twitch when it was gaining increasing viewership. They should have learned from when BigCat was streaming college football that they can have success when it's people that are well received streaming and doing entertaining content. Thousands of people are better at the games or more funny than the people they have streaming, either hire content creators to Barstool Brand or do unique content that can't be easily created by anyone with a pc/console and a free to play game.

YT may be getting a lot of the top streamers in Big money deals but Twitch is still the superior platform to grow a mid-tier audience like Barstool Gaming. You can always switch to YT Gamins after you start getting 5 to 10k plus concurrent viewers on a VERY consistent basis. This Devlin guy doesn't know what he is talking about. Hire someone just for that section and grow it. It could be very big. But it will need some patience from whomever is pulling the plug on producers "due to performance". I'll also add. I had NO CLUE that Barstool had even moved to YT gaming for a month....I just thought they quit streaming because of Covid.

twitch sucks now for small-mid sized streamers... the platform is so saturated with people trying to jump on the train and the way twitch is set up is not ideal to finding new streamers. The streamers that have and are building bigger audiences are the ones who are promoting themselves through multiple platforms (ie. YT channels, tik toks, twitter, etc.) in the end YT gaming will be better for exposure for streamers, its an easier platform to work with if you do push content through a YT channel, better accessibility (twitch is blocked often on work networks). There are things that YT is behind on but there is a huge investment on their end to improve. Heres the thing with Smitty... to be successful you either have to be good a video games or being very entertaining and if by chance you are both even better... Smitty is neither
