We got CM Punk in studio and he broke down who he thinks is the best in the world, wrestling for AEW and being in NY for AEW Dynamite Grand Slam. On top of that, he talks about his giant "pop," all the talent he's looking forward to working with and debuting closely to Bryan Danielson.

To paraphrase a comment from an AEW video: “It’s not the fact that CM Punk is wrestling again. It’s the fact that CM Punk is *happy* again”. Punk was my childhood hero, and I’m elated for him. I’ve always supported and respected him, and to see him smiling again is just great. That’s my GOAT right there 🐐

All these Marks talking about pops....just stop. Not anywhere near Austin ever...nor the Road Warriors. Guy is over with the current crop of adult male toy collecting total Mark fans and that is great. But cool on the comparisons. This "era" has nothing to do with past era's when wrestling was still realish and was produced for everyone. Enjoy the time...but comparison hyperbole makes you look just oh so MARKISH.

The Rock is a bigger star in mainstream, so no, not the end of it. Hogan is on the Mount Rushmore, but he’s definitely a piece of shit. Backstage politics, his personal decisions, his documented racism, and oodles more. I’ll go with Austin or Rock over Hogan any day of the week. Twice on Sunday.

I haven’t watched wrestling in over a decade before AEW started. So no offense, I don’t watch the WWE content. I’m sure Brandon does a good job on it but I think he’s one of the best interviewers in the KZbin wrestling world. He’s the only one that got Tony to hint at the Cm punk arrival and others. He asks questions I want answers for as opposed to questions that have already been answered. Keep the AEW content coming please.

I hope Bobby Roode goes to AEW, I would love to see a CM Punk v.s. Bobby Roode match. Bobby Roode was one of the best heels in TNA, and he plays the strong heel character really well. And imagine if one day, we get Beer Money (Bobby Roode and James Storm) v.s. some younger team, where they beat them on regular shows, but eventually put over the younger guys on a PPV. I know this probably won't happen but, one can dream right?

Definition of AEW gets it: WWE signed everybody that had some little buzz in the indies just before AEW started, so they had to scratch really hard on the surface to build a roster beyond the obvious Elite, Jericho, Moxley, Pac, etc. And AEW still managed to find the 4 pillars of its future: MJF, Darby Allin, Jungle Boy and Sammy Guevara, they knew that, so from the beginning they have never stopped building them for those 2 plus years. I love to see Punk so excited about wrestling all the young guys.

As far as getting into womens wrestling for the first time, that original TNA knockouts division with Kong and Gail and the beautiful people and ODB ect was the best, AEW's roster has those similar vibes, it ain't just a bunch of magazine swimsuit models like WWE, everyone's different and everyone can talk and wrestle, it's the best womens wrestling in a long time.
