I love this town it is where I grew up in the 70's alot has changed since then I wish I could go back and see it agen that is the original headcorders of Dell Taco

I lived there for 15 years and you missed the best part... Leaving lol My 1st week there I picked up a Barstow newspaper to see what's going on. Front page: a picture of a train engine pushing a caboose, The Big bold "Headlines" read: "Train goes backwards"! OMG Live TV; The competing for votes city mayors were "drunk and disorderly" "on live TV", and I do mean they thought that they were invisible DRUNK!!!!! Yep a--lot of fond memories there! lol

I, unfortunately, stopped at a Barstow hotel 25 years ago on my way to a new teaching job further west. My truck & trailer were stolen & set on fire by a meth head. Then the cops treated me like I was the criminal! Haven't been back and I see, now, why Barstow is best known as the bathroom break between Vegas & L.A.

@ 2:56 Left hand side (across from the pawn shop) is Barstow Car Clinic (Ken was the owner/manager).. I'm now in North Carolina, but i was on a cross country drive ( LA TO NC ) my car broke down (transmission); I was desperate, and in need for an honest mechanic...and Ken delivered...Props to Barstow Car Clinic 👍👍... I actually want to go back there just for a few days, just to experience that Barstow feeling... it's a desert for REAL

I’ve stop at the Barstow Station literally hundreds of times and I have never had any problems, also stop at the Lenwood exit for Starbucks because from 95 to 08, it was the originally the only one until the one across from Barstow Station was built, but I still stopped at the Starbucks on Lenwood Road.

the Bun Boy is now an insurance agency. Bun Boy had the most remarkable staff of CA lovely girls.

Yes, Outlets at Barstow! And right there is also several restaurants and two Starbucks

The train park at the end is cool. Wish I would have seen that. Barstow is dead and there is nothing to do there. I haven't been back since my uncle died in 1998.
