I think it’s interesting how over time you see how poorly treated Bart was through you his life. Homer, Marge, and Lisa are really terrible people and Bart is the only one worth sympathy.

Lisa is not a terrible person, marge is insecure and sometimes goes by the wayside but always redeems her self. she's contemplative. she is very loving and providing but her life moves too fast for her inner self so she often becomes conflicted due to her attachment to homer. ultimately its homer being an experience unto himself. everyone else on the show tries to do right. except bart who never got the guidance he needed and suffered all the abuse. bart and homer have a pretty hardcore relationship going on. No matter what, bart is faithful to his father when its all said and done. its all homer's fault.
