If planning to barter tobacco, RYO (Roll Your Own) is worth considering. MUCH cheaper than buying packs or cartons. Bags of tobacco come in sealed bags and have a long shelf life. In my area, which is expensive, $100 buys enough tobacco and tubes to make 1,600 cigarettes or 80 packs. Bags are $18 and make 2 cartons. Cartons of empty cigarette tubes are $3.50. Cigarettes can be bartered in as small a number as you like, even individually. The stuffing machines I use are hand cranked and cost me $60.00 each. (1 is none and 2 is 1) i have an electric stuffer I use daily, as well. Also, on Amazon, I purchased 100 no-name-brand disposable lighters for $14.00. I did that twice for 200 lighters. Lots of deals when buying bulk. I do not drink, but I have several gallons of whisky at the ready, along with multiple small, empty bottles so I can portion it. I do prep for myself and have been doing so for years, so I did not set up to barter at the expense of my own preps. Thank you for pointing out sugar and salt. I will be increasing my supplies of those for barter, as well. I do not feel anxious about sharing info about RYO tobacco because very few smokers are doing it right now, despite packs of manufactured cigarettes going for $9.00 and RYO costing $1.20 per pack. Takes me 6 minutes to roll a pack with my electric stuffer, 7-8 minutes with my hand cranked machines. If smokers who could save over $7.00 per day right now (roughly $210.00 + per month) can not be bothered with the hassle of spending 8 minutes rolling a pack each day, what are the odds preppers will be competing with me after SHTF? :) Good video. I'd be real careful with the whole bartering of firearms and ammunition, because you never know if that ammunition will be used to take what else you happen to have, and the only reason why they didn't try to use Force beforehand was because they had no ammo. If you're bartering to receive ammo, be careful because if it's reloaded ammunition you never know if they put enough powder or too much, or if they even put any powder in there and you have a squib load that you may be relying on to get you out of a tight spot. It would be better to invest in an 8 lb tub of pistol powder and a few bricks of primers and just have a selection of bullet molds available, so that way you can tell them bring me the brass and bring me some lead for a bullet and for a certain price I can reload it for you, that way it's not just something they can take because they will need to know how to reload the ammo and that skill resides with you, and without you to reload it the value drops drastically, and of course you know the ammo you loaded will go bang when you need it to.

Might consider giving things away. Good way to make friends.

Adam, that is the single best bit of advice I've ever heard on survival. It is groups of like minded people sharing and caring that will outlive the hardest and most prepared individual. Strength in unity.

@@Master-AGN That's weird, I've spent my life helping my mates out whenever and wherever I can and I've never charged them a dime. I'm pretty sure they respect me, as I respect them in return. As for strangers, I've found some of my best friends by helping a stranger in need.

It is wise to bri someone with you should you agree on a neutral place, especially if you don’t know him/ her/them. It would be wise to get to the place early and check it out.

That was a small silver bar below a full ounce. It looked like a 1/5 ounce, maybe a 1/10th ounce.
