I'm a lurker but I have been through the same situation with a close family member. It's important to give yourself grace, allow yourself to feel all your feelings. Guilt (of all kinds) will be the hardest but there is only so much one can do when someone has already decided their end.

Sorry for your having dealt with a same situation. One of my cousins lost her first husband from his taking his own life. She didn't find out till afterwards from some of her husband's friends that he had tried numerous times prior to them having even met. Supposedly his family who lived out of the country didn't even know what he had been struggling thru because he had kept it from them till it was too late.

Bart is such a mentally strong and inspirational person and father. I don't know he kept a straight face through this whole podcast. My dad did everything in his life to take care of me so I doubt that I would react the same way. And i'm so proud of Geo for holding back her tears and not sobbing about her situation. When my mom died I bought my first book from a Indigo which was a Jordan peterson self help book (12 rules for life) and it said to be the strongest person at the funeral home because while every one else in the room is displaying their "grief and misery" you can be relied on. I read my moms death speech (which I originally had no intention of speaking because Im severely dyslexic and can't write well) without shedding a tear and I will never regret having spoke for my mom. Thank you both Bart & Geo for having the courage to share this podcast with random people online. Enjoy your new service doggo and hope that you both look look into CBD oil for Taika's seizures. It helped A-LOT with my mothers suffering. Deepest sympathy's for Bart & the Kwan family.
