Good Sunday to you Danny. What a lovely Video of Bartica, Esq. The Bartica Mayor has done a tremendous job in beautifying the Town. I noticed many new buildings, restaurants are there now Did you also saw the "mighty Joe young island" 3-4 ft tall he normally get out to shop in Bartica in the days. Never knew Eddi Grant living there also. My next trip to Guyana will definately visit Bartica and explore the new facilities, places. Glad Y"All had a good time. Regatta coming up that is a big festival there. Also saw Guyana Critic in the video visited Bartica Also wish your mom in FL, a speedy recovery... . ~~~~~~Have a blessed day.~~~~~

I lived in Bartica back in the late 60's. I'm almost 60 now and have to agree, Bartica looks nothing like it did back when I was a kid. Paved roads? Stop signs? So many hotels and "high rise" buildings have sprung up :). The only thing that I can remember that hasn't changed much is the Stelling, police station, hospital and the street names. We grew up at the corner of 3rd Ave and the "line" next to the "Pandit"/temple. Our house appears to still be there. wow. Time and progress marches on.

I have a friend who lives in Guyana. It was so refreshing to watch this video, first time on your channel and I had to subscribe. My friend is born and raised in Guyana he does not live in the Capital city, he lives in New Amsterdam we met on a cruise ship many years ago he was a staff member on the Carnival ship and we have remained in touch all these years. He also once lived in Suriname for a few years. He simply adores Guyana and speaks passionately about his country

Hello Danny from New Brunswick Canada. I stumbled apon your channel about two weeks ago and now I am hooked. I was born in Georgetown in 1968 and came to Canada when I was 2 years old and have never been back. My parents always talked about taking a family vacation but sadly they have bothed passed recently. I need to tell you that lately I have felt the need to learn about my roots and the place my parents called 'back home". The content you share with us is priceless to me at this point in my life. It allows me to see the places that my Mom and Dad talked about. It allows me to get a full appreciation of the beauty of Guyana. It's funny that sometimes in life you feel an emptiness but you just don't know how to fill that void. Your videos are helping me deal with the loss of my parents. I feel close to them when I watch your channel. I know they are watching me smile when I view. I just want to say a big thank you to you for everything you are doing. I appreciate you my friend. Sean Naraine
