Bartolo Longo, an Italian Lawyer heavily involved in Spiritualism and the occult in 19th century Europe, who was consecrated a priest of a satanic order, converted and became the Apostle of the Rosary.
He promised Our Lady that he would spend the rest of his life promoting the rosary and honouring the Blessed Virgin Mary. He built the Basilica of the Rosary in Turin and wrote prolifically. Like Don Bosco he was a great figure of education and spiritual direction for orphans and . He is a powerful deterent of the New Age and occult, having experienced its negative and dangerous influences first hand.
