I work in many homes with dogs. I have a Shih Tzu, it works on my dog, good ears, but can't see as well. Other dogs, it works sometimes, some see the red LED light and chase after it, but they do stop barking. The ultrasound will not work on a dog with bad hearing, obviously. So it works but it may not work for your dog depending on sight, sound, and age. All dogs are different, some, you may have to use a lot, some just get it and learn. My Shih Tzu barks at the doorbell, so I use it every time, it's been 2 years. Try it and experiment with it. Give it time, give it a chance to work. Because it does.

I am returning. Does absolutely nothing. Has no effect on barking. Even installed a new battery hoping for some results or indication my dogs were hearing SOMETHING.

your dog may have bad hearing or bad sight. See if he sees the red light on the floor and will chase it, he will stop barking. If his hearing is bad, he won't hear the ultrasound.

Does not work! There are two flashing diodes that kinda confuse my dog and force him to move away. After covering them with dark sticky tape and leaving supposed ultra sound emitters uncovered, when I point the device at my dog even from only few feet away he stares at me with "what's up buddy, wanna play?" look in his eyes. DOES NOT WORK!!! Waste of money

It affects hearing and sight. It works on most dogs, either the sound or the red light.
