Ruins of a palace in Barzyn from 1693.
A winter drone flight over the now heavily overgrown ruins.
The palace was originally associated with the German von Bodeck family, built in what was then Prussia, today central-northern Poland.
The palace began to change owners from 1829, being temporarily owned by the Prussian army, then by brothers Paul and Otto Frankenstein, and the last owners, siblings Gerd and Maria von der Groeben.
Gerd von der Gröben shot himself in January 1945 during the Soviet offensive on Prussia.
The palace survived the war, became the property of a state farm in the already Polish areas, and due to lack of repairs and maintenance.... lived to see such a state.
(I am planning another trip to this place at a time that provides greater visibility for the drone.... maybe in the spring ).
