Why are these wizards of the coast formats more skill intensive than what Pokémon has now? This format looks insane. How do we play? Is there an actual play community we can play with or is it online?

There is the fan tranalation of Pokémon TCG 2 for Gameboy Color. Really a great game wirh the Dark Pokémon packs.

Personally, i added full playset of mime, full playset of chansey, full playset of switch. Also a playset of full heal energy. I play switch in case to counter gow, to put alakazam into the bench back again as son possible. Then a playset of full heal energy in order to heal mr mime paralysis or either special codition. Barrier is the way to win almost any deck, so i find full heal pretty core for This strategy. Also, i think this deck dont need any removal or disrupt trainers or what so ever. Barrier is the way to go, so, as long as barrier is active, you dont care how many energy your opponent may have. In order to support those energy on mime, single no removal gym is plenty than enough. Thoug lass could be handy as well. Great content man, keep doing this stuff.

Also, could you use Kangaskhan for the fetch attack? would it help set up faster?

I can see Chansey working as a lead attacker along with quick Defenders and energy management, starting her molly whopping in two turns and reserving enough health to prevent a revenge kill. Maybe this involves some Venucenter setup where you throw her sauce around and keep her health in check. I know absorption Mewtwo tends to speed things up there.

I played a variant of this deck back in highschool and I still have my favorite deck I constructed, I swapped in some Movie Promo Mewtwo, Team Rocket Mewtwo, and some Kangaskhan for additional damage sponging. Despite the powercreep, my brother once played the Plasma deck with Volcarona against me. I couldn't actually do enough damage to wipe out his pokemon but I still won by stalling with damage swap long enough that he ran out of cards.

I have this set wirh Tentacool inatead chansey. Only 30 HP, but once per turn he can go back to the hand. Alakazam could confuse even psychic reaistent foes and beat then wirth Tentacool in bench. Dark Golduck helps, some Mewtwos and 2 walls, Mr. Mime Invisible Wall and Mew against evolutions. Dark Dragonair and Dragonite engine. Pretty cool deck.

I play a base to neo version of this deck that I use rockets mewtwo in. His first attack is ridiculous. But you have to flip for it.

I never put any energy cause i play it as a stall deck winning by having opponent run out of cards. I remember using that trainer that shuffles a pokemon back into deck so like an individual center. Plus used 4 scoop ups.

I found a base fossil list that uses 2x fossil tentacool Thoughts on this?

The tentacools help, but not enough to justify two deck slots for me. I've found that the deck runs better with no clutter from tentacool. If I were to run it, I would tech in one copy.

@@shuckletcg sounds good dude i like the 1x idea just to throw him down soak up some damage and return him to avoid being gusted to the active on 30hp This is where i found the lists, something throws me off in some of the lists here: ptcgarchive.com/wotc-decks/base-fossil/ Something about the lists here throw me off like the guy relies on energy retrieval quite a bit in his lists, i thought this may interest you! What do you think about these lists? Also this same site has a neo- skyridge tab with some sweet lists the ereader kingdra/ scizor and light dragonite/espeon seemed nifty

why no tentacool?

Daniel Baumgartner Too risky for very little payout. Tentacles is an easy knockout after a GOW, but Chansey can be scooped without caring about knock out.
