its automatic during power but has a lot to do with timing. contact hits can be manipulated easier by moving the circle when aiming

Yes basically if you want more contact add your points to Contact and Batters eye , if you want more power add them to POWER and batters eye.

Besides Batter Eye and Power, is it worth getting speed up to help? I have 3 gold players LF, CF and RF. Those are my best players. Is it worth getting speed up or should ignore that.

Yeah I would say it’s worth it, usually I work on my outfielders ARM and SPEED so they can gun down runners and speed so they can turn singles into doubles when batting or stealing bases

I was wondering same thing. I havent scored above 6 runs in a game. I just started playing a week ago. In 1st place. 11W 2L, i have trouble with power hitting. Any tips for that?

@@PNW5ohTREE Draft players and level them up. It can be a bit of an ad grind for gems, but not terrible. Don't forget to improve batter's eye along with power. Batter's eye really helps spot pitch location, which is critical for power swings. Also, learn to take pitches and get the pitch count up as fast as possible. Pitcher fatigue is a huge factor in batting success, so use that to your advantage. Don't ground out on the first pitch you see and let them out of the inning on 3 or 4 pitches.

@@SlavaPunta yeah the ad grind is a bit tedious. Im doing that whenever i get on. Just picked up 4th gold player. Got my pitcher. Have a RF, CF, LF for the long hits. Will be working on the baseman fast as i can. I started pushing the batters eye. I can see what you mean by making them throw pitches though. Tire themselves out. I usually see a good pitch though and swing at it only for it to be pop fly or ground ball and out at 1st. Pisses me off lol. Ty for the info. Will put it to good use.

@@PNW5ohTREE Check out the Tapjoy offers under More Gems. Usually you can rapid fire install games and immediately delete them once the reward is issued. Kind of silly, but you can rack up plenty of gems that way too. Some of the offers are worth the side effort. But starting out: getting your roster filled out ASAP is crucial. As I'm sure you're aware, the stock players can't be leveled up (and they're terrible), so you're losing out on a lot of experience points each game by not having those players on the field. After your roster is full, then you can put the gems toward the premium gear for the stat upgrades. Pro tip: you only need 1 set of accessories for your starting pitchers. Just swap it to the next guy before each game (don't waste the gems on getting each starter his own set). Generally, I would focus on contact and batter's eye over power. Just getting your guys on base is more helpful than flying out deep. But I did make my 1B a home run specialist right away at the cost of fielding and throwing (he sees very little action at that position). Also increase speed across board ASAP, because it applies to both offense and defense play. Be fast enough to where you can ALWAYS steel 2nd. You can avoid tons of double plays that way (always get him to 2nd before swinging at the next pitch). And from 2nd, you can still advance them to 3rd and home on deep flyouts. Especially when you're still getting the batting stats up. But fair warning: the computer players level up pretty fast too. Meaning they will crush you if neglect the less sexy stats (like agility or fielding). You will be constantly caught flat footed (low agility) or making errors (low fielding). It might not seem obvious at first, but maintaining balance across all the stats is a good thing as you get into the deeper tiers. To the game's credit, the AI is good at exploiting weaknesses if you're over specialized in other traits. But it'll be obvious who needs what as the difficulty increases. They'll be too slow, making errors, getting picked off, not getting on base, ect.
