Today we settle the debate of which bat/ball sport makes the hottest bats!

my only rule for the longest home run record is that it has to be done with a baseball bat 😂 We'd get chirped waaay too hard for using a slowpitch bat. Bradley Jones could probably hit a ball 650'

In terms of Slowpitch Softball Bats, nothing beats a classic Miken Ultra or Ultra 2 (2000-2006) you would hit 130 easily

My daughter plays college D1 softball. The mizuno carbon 1 will smoke the ghost and half the price… ghost do have durability issues at the big girl level but that carbon doesn’t. School switched to carbons this year and noticeable increases in hr and average.

I wonder what the COR / Compression of a baseball is... feels like an ASA ball, around 52/300. I read somewhere that the COR is 50, but I'd be curious what the compression of a standard baseball would be. Maybe a 50/300 almost like an ASA softball?

I’ve got an Easton Synergy Fastpitch bat (grandpa to the ghost) from about ‘06 and used to train with baseballs 5 days a week. Somehow still kicking to this day and use it for my has been slowpitch outings

that was great...i tried breaking in a softball bat a few yrs ago using baseballs off a tee and I put a star crack in it...not a shark tooth but I learned my lesson...only use softballs and 52/300s if possible for best break-in

Impressive power off the tee. Wow. Did you know Easton did make some composites in the 90s? I think they used graphite or carbon, very plastic feeling. I remember hitting with one in little league BP. around 1995. Seemed to go very far. Very little vibration. Would be interesting to see you test one today; if there's any available.

Hello, I have a question. I’m playing high school ball right now and have three bats. I am 6’ tall, weigh 145, with 15% body fat. I have a True Temper HZRDUS (32.5,” paid full price), Mizuno Hot Metal (33,” $50), and Rawlings 5150 (34,” $50). I did not know that they were all end-loaded at the time of purchase. When I played in a rec league, I was batting .660s. Right now, I am batting .91 in 11 ABs. Could these bats be why I’m doing so poorly? If so, what is a good balanced bat and what length should I get. I have 20/20 vision, and can read the ball very well. Off the tee my swing is stellar, but against live pitching or BP, it’s not so good.

As you can see in this video though, tee velocity doesn’t translate very well to exit velo of a baseball with incoming velocity. Essentially, the lighter bat will almost always win. Especially a longer bat will always win
