lol competition changes quickly once you reach level 8. I refuse to pay as well, but getting wins in levels 9 and 10 is a crap shoot. Most competition can hit pitches into open field despite being well off the strike box. Very addictive game, but the algorithm that makes my players suddenly unable to stop, catch or throw accurately is highly annoying… 😢

The same thing happens to me, what lineup do you recommend? I'm at level 9, I've used Carlos as a catcher he's good at getting runners out, but Murray is good on offense, of the legendary ones I have Dexter, Carlos, Annie, Ryan, Martina, Mickey, Marie, Roger. I use Marie a lot, I couldn't get Gibson, I don't have King either and I need to get the gardener at 2300 points.

I finally maxed out all players and team after 2 1/2 years of playing… same as you. Still beat those clowns and now it’s pretty much a no contest against the majority of players. But they keep buying all the new players and some are real tough.

hey, not sure if you still play this or not but i just wanted to say, before this video i was having a 5 game losing streak, and your tips helped me turn it around, i've been having more rally moments in tight moments (even had a couple grand slams). thanks!

That is excellent! I’m so glad that my tips helped out! Yeah I’m not playing much anymore because of the 3,000 trophy shift of opponents that turns the game into a pay to win game. Hopefully they adjust the settings so that your opponents are closer at that point because it’s a great game. Thanks for letting me know!

@@FlippingGames im currently in the 1k range and i can already see what you mean, theres a lot of people who have genuinely invested that still struggle against seeing a forkball (works for me), I do wish they sort of borrowed the batting system from homerun clash, as i feel the gameplay would be much better

This game is a money grab game. BUT there's a but…. Make a club its not as hard to find like players who love the game and don't spend. In club games can be fun. Can make house rules set up games with level restrictions. The fun part of this game is making lineups centered around power ups. Wish there was some options in clubs like setting innings. Yeah games like this are focused on spenders and hackers don't help.

It's like clash of clans strategically. It's a constant changing lineupcombos as game progresses. Play a guy with yeah level 11-12 but none were gold 2 rare 1 epic. The unlocking powers of each player in lineup was so freaking good 🤦🏼‍♂️. Fun great game... pay to win as he says like and clash game…. Personally definitely need 10 + level to be competitive. Higher you go your gonna get slaughtered Idc how good your timing is. Bots are real and there are tons of hackers on her. So let the kids play when you get to high🤣 wish we could trade and the money aspect wasn't so prioritized. Still a fun game. Please tell me is there a player that when a power is unlocked when you pitch your aim goes all the way down bottom right 🤪 it kills me🤦🏼‍♂️

Not true. The batters on the opposing side when they pair you with bots literally will never hit a ball, only strikes. You do not touch on this fact. They will pair you with bots that are designed to have eagle eyes in order to force you to buy.

Which lineup do you recommend? I'm at level 9, it's weird that I didn't have Gibson, of the legendary ones I have Dexter, Carlos, Annie, Ryan, Martina, Mickey, Marie and Roger. Marie is an excellent pitcher, but she is out of control, it is difficult to hit her when she places the pitches well. Mitchell and Carlotes are very good, I won a lot of games with them and they maintained good effectiveness., but lately it happens to me that now when I use Marie I'm getting hit more and I'm afraid to use Roger with those slow pitches and he stays in the middle of the plate. I would like to know which catcher and infielder you recommend.

Good question, but I don't know how much help I can be. While there are some amazing defensive players, I set my lineup based on batting skills and just put together the best hitters I can, regardless of legendary status. For instance, I still have a level 10 Kevin batting 4th (he gets a hitting boost in 4th position). I just stick him at 2nd base because he doesn't do much damage there. But all of the players I have playing (except for pitchers) have the best power and contact numbers and then I just try and find them their best place on the field. With pitchers, I care most about control and movement. Velocity is nice but without movement people can learn the timing on your fast pitches and crush them. Movement seems harder to hit because you can start in the strike zone and move out or start way outside and come in for a strike. But I care more about levels and stats than I do about the types of cards. That's what worked for me getting all of the wins on the way to 3,000 trophies. After that, you pretty much need to pay to upgrade which is why I don't play much anymore.

@@FlippingGames Thank you very much, yes, I use Kevin I'm getting cards to raise him to level 10, he's a great hitter and he's saved me from many situations, I still use Kaya and change Carlos for Murray because although Carlos is good at taking out runners on offense he's inferior to Murray. Recently Fernandez came out to me in one of the box and I liked what I saw, I do think that his specialty may have been exaggerated because if that pitcher touches you he must be lucky that he leaves something in the Strike zone because after that it is almost impossible to hit him forcefully. I've been looking for Maria and Gibson, but I think they don't give it to me anymore because of the level I'm at.

Literally only thing that matters is card levels. 11 is always going to hit a 8 pitcher etc

I agree and disagree. When I was coming up the rankings, my level 9/10 pitchers could get level 10/11 players out. You just have to work them on the pitching and get them to swing at bad stuff. Then I just squeak out a cheap run, against their good pitcher on the other end and grab a win. However, once I got 3,000 trophies and entered the iron league, my 9/10 pitchers were ALWAYS facing level 12/13 batters, like their whole team was 12/13 level players whereas I don't even have one. I could pitch them horrible stuff way outside or in the dirt and they would swing, hit them and many times get home runs. Or the bots with 12/13 players won't swing at balls no matter how close they are. The game becomes a joke at that point and the only way to compete is spend money and upgrade. So, I completely agree with your take once you hit 3,000 trophies.

Ya within a level or two you can make higher cards swing at bad pitches but even then a lot of the time the game will reward higher cards for making bad swing decisions . Or your fielder will make an error on a routine play because it was hit by a higher card . The game is simply pay to win

Level 8s can compete and win against level 9s maybe even level 10's but once the level difference becomes 3 or more, it's hard AF, homie, damn near impossible to get anyone out. Levels always matter, just gotta keep grinding and being patient if you're f2p.

How do you hit home runs more consistently? The only way I’m seeing is if you pay to upgrade your hitters which is lame.

I agree that paying to upgrade is messed up. And once you get past 3,000 trophies, grinding is no longer worth it because you would end up losing thousands of games to move players up a level. So the batting practice thing helps a little and the hitting stats I care about are contact and power. And home runs come down to timing and also luck. Because unless you're playing someone with a very low level pitcher, where you can just crush homeruns one after the other off of them, it almost seems like you get homeruns when the game wants you to get them. But the best tip is try to focus and only swing at strikes. Be disciplined at the plate because, strikes will be homeruns much more than balls. Hopefully that helps.

And the game is online and usually laggy so when batting you have to swing way earlier than you think.. when I’m in practice mode I can hit the ball literally every time but online is a bit more challenging.

@@FlippingGames I’ve recently built my team towards hitting so I put the best batting stats in including that catcher that improves the entire teams contact it’s helped out my hitting a lot and I don’t feel I need any fielding abilities. I was just putting the highest level and highest rarity in not really thinking about it.

@@Ha-ls3leNice that's a good tip. It seems that you win a lot more with hitting over defense anyways. I definitely use my best hitters and don't even consider fielders. And I front load them too so that I can hopefully score in the 9th inning. But I started keeping good hitters in 4th and 5th position too in case I get out fast in the 9th inning and need to drive in some runs in the 10th inning. The only defense I really focus on is my pitcher. I use the best/rarest one I have and try really hard to not let them hit anything good.

@@FlippingGames A good pitcher to use if your not spending money is Michelle she’s common rarity so you can get her cards to level her up pretty easy from your club or the chests you get and occasionally the shop. Once you get her maxed at lv 13 she’s pretty decent.

@typicalchampion7 Baseball Clash says that he's better at hitting bad balls (pitches not in the strike zone). Like hitters are penalized for hitting pitches that aren't strikes (their power, accuracy, etc. go down). But King's ability reduces this bad ball penalty by 50%. Let me know if that doesn't make sense. It is kind of a weak ability.

I agree that it's not initially but once you get up to 3,000 trophies you'll be grinding for years and accumulating losses just to build a competitive team. So, I think at that point it really becomes pay to upgrade/win. But maybe they changed it so let us know if that's wrong.

You can beat the bots before that but once you reach 3,000 trophies, the bots get crazy most teams you're playing have level 12 or 13 players and you can't get your players to those levels in a month without paying to upgrade. But maybe you grinded alot before level 9. How many wins do you have? Maybe we can teach people how to do what you did.

And you will be playing bots that are super talented, even if they look like regular players. I played bots of people that I know when they weren't online. But it is a great game until you hit 3,000 trophies and enter the iron league. Seriously though come back and let us know what you think when you get to 3,000 trophies. At the rate you're winning, it should be fairly soon. Maybe it's different now but I went from winning roughly 90% of the time to winning maybe 35% of the time as soon as I hit 3,000 trophies and entered the iron league. The competition becomes insanely good to the point where building your stats up through grinding is no longer possible. I hope they change that and make it more realistic so that people can still grind instead of paying to upgrade.
